Flash code 8 motor voltage error means - Pride Pursuit - 4 Wheel Scooter

The lights flash in a systematic sequence which reveals an VSI error code. Count the number of flashes.

1. Battery needs charging
2. Left motor bad connection
3. Left motor shorted
4. Right motor bad connection
5. Right motor shorted
6. Unplug battery charger
7. Joystick fault. Make certain the joystick is in the neutral position (centered) before turning on the controller
8. Controller fault. Check connections
9. Parking brakes bad connection. Check connections to parking brake, motor and controller
10. Excessive voltage. Check battery charger connections.

Hi AGAIN HAVE TESTED the SPEED CONTROL potentimeter & WIG WAG FOR THERE CORRECT RESISTANCE IN OHM'S .ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS THE LITTLE COMPUTER ( CONTROL BOX )IS FAULTY good luck get you're batteries LOAD TESTED..ERROR CODE 8 IS ALSO A MOTOR VOLTAGE ERROR cheers

What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

• Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
  LED(s) flashing.
• Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
  activate.
• Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger
  inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.

Error 8, is a power fault error. This means the drive motor voltage dropped below 190 VDC for 5 seconds. This could be caused by worn motor brushes or the lower control board.

8 flash code on this scooter relates to a motor voltage fault. This means that the correct voltage is not getting to the motor from the power supply. This can either be caused by a bad harness between the power module and the motor or a problem with the motor itself. You need to measure resistance between the motor harness and intermediate motor harness this will determine which component needs to be replaced.

Trouble Code: P2118
Electronic Throttle Control Motor Circuit Malfunction
Trouble Code Conditions:Ignition is on and ETC motor is not in limp-home mode. When the PCM detects an internal error or short between the ETC motor and ETC motor positive circuits in the ETC motor driver. The ETC light will be flashing.
Possible Causes:

• Throttle plate or bore malfunctions
• ETC positive circuit is open or is shorted to ground, battery voltage or ETC negative circuit
• ETC negative circuit is open or is shorted to ground or to battery voltage
• ETC motor has malfunctioned
• PCM has failed

to me this is pointing towrd a bad (possibly shorted)green crt tube. howerver other possiblilities could be bad hig voltage distribution block(g2) 8 flashing means high voltage error. or an error on the d cuircit board error

5 flashing is ' compressor drive' and check the high pressure, condenser fan motor capacitor for proper running

The error code 7 is in fact a motor error.
The motor that drives the spin cycle has become faulty. The only solution now is to get an engineer in to fix it or get it sent away to get repaired.
