Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

SOURCE: Fujitsu 42" Plasma Display shuts off after 20 minutes

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.

See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below
http://tomtom2k5.free.fr/fujitsu/PDP-0035-06.pdf

A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu '[email protected]'

SOURCE: tv red blink no start42 plasma philips

Thank you for the help. I actually changed the whole main power supply board and it still did not fix the problem. When I put the new one in, I had the tv on for about 3 hours and then I shut it off. No sooner did I get it back up on the wall and the problem started all over again. When I pulled the original board, the caps all looked fine so I am not even sure the board is bad. Problem is there is no one around me to test it. I am not going back to the same shop that already told me that it was a bad main power supply board. Any other suggestions?

My craftsman 42" lawn tractor won't shut off.

when you turn off the key you are breaking the power circuit to the coil. If it keeps running then the coil is still getting power. Check for a wire touching the power wire before the switch that runs to the coil

The TV won't turn on. The little light by the power button doesn't even come on

Blown fuse caused by a shorted power supply. Relacing the power supply board should solve the issue in most cases. You can get a power supply board from www.tvrepairworld.com

My Lamp won't ignite. At first my TV was just turning off on its own so I bought a new lamp. Now when I turn it on it just hums in the back and the light doesn't even come on, then it turns...

If the hum came in front of the lamp housing, the fault came from the faulty color wheel. Replace this part and your unit will back to normal operation again.

I have a X2Gen 42" LCD (MV42P) that has no picture

if there is no dispay in the screen atall then it has to be the screen or the unit controlling the screen which can be in the same unit as the screen sometimes also if you have replaced the power supply the main board and the controll board then there is either something wrong when fitting them or one of the units are faulty but i am thinking the screen mate i cant explain the sound it could be caused by the fact there is nothing to display meaning there is no picture being send and no sound,,,,

if you have any light atall in the screen when the tv is turned on this cant be the problem

it sounds like the input device is not inputing anything ie the hdmi or scart is not sending through and the tv and dtv are not sending this would explain why no screen and no sound because there is no sound or picture being send through and because the unit is broken there is not even any menus

PIONEER PDP-424MV Plasma TV

Hello,

I have the same TV, well, nearly, PDP434.

The only part I ever sell for these is the main PSU (power supply).

The TV "checks" it self using a self diagnostic system. As soon as it discovers a problem, it shuts down and blinks an error code on the front LED.

It always seems to be the PSU.

I hope this helps at least a bit.
