My sounddriver not working

Try to uninstall and reinstall the driver back maybe the file just got corrupted, how?

Here' what you need to do:
- Go to device manager
- if your sound card driver is not working then you will see an icon with a yellow exclamation mark this is your sound driver.
- remove it then reinstalled it back by just refreshing the device manager
- this will automatically install the driver back and this should resolved the problem

If not, then you can try to restore your computer back to previous date where your sound driver works, just think of that date and use System Restore

Hope this help:)

All sound have gone off, the volume buttons are not responding all drivers are preasant

remove and reinstall the sound driver ..reboot and see if it is back ...sometimes a virus or an error can cause this ...just go to control panel ...add remove software ...locate the driver by name ..usually it is a realteck or a high definition audio controller...remove it completely..
reinstall the driver and you should have sound back ...if this is not happening ...either the driver is not actual anymore (you upgraded the operation system ) ...or its something wrong with the sound card ..

Sound card not recognized by the system. Had this problems since I've had to reload windows XP with a reformat drive c:

Hello.
1st Did you reinstall the sound card drivers?
they can be dowloaded from the manufacture websight.
2nd Is sound devices listed in device manager.
If not, you may need to remove panel from cpu unplug pc first.
Remove sound card and install it into another open slot.
If slot is not available put back into original slot.

reboot pc.reinstall sound card drivers.

No sound, no sound card existence and no indication of sound gear in the controll desk. drivers are recorded and exists

Do you have a sound card listed in Device manager? If so, remove it and reboot the computer. This will reinstall the drivers. You can also roll back the OS to an earlier time to see if something else you installed killed the driver.
If neither of these works, you system may need a re-install of the OS>

After some time my sound card stop working but as i reinstall he driver the sounds come back is there any problem with my sound card or with the driver

I just posted this same problem myself last night. I found another tip and tried it and it solve my problem.
1. Go to MY Computer properties by rt clicking on the icon
2. Go to Hardware tab and look for your Sound(click the + sign)
3. Right click only the sound device that is a problem and click "remove or unistall". Leave all the codecs or other things you see in there.
4. Close everything and Reboot
5. Windows XP will recognize "found new hardware" and installs the drivers automatically if it is still in the system, if not you have to reinstall from your recovery disks.
6. Reboot again (that's how I got my sound back)
