Why is my Yamaha Banshee is hard to start

It looks like your compression is too low (worn rings from dusted motor) Push starting spins the motor faster than kick starting and when hot the rings expand just enough to seal off. Before kicking a cold motor try putting in a squirt or two of engine oil in the plug hole to see if there is a difference.

My 1994 xr6004 has good compression and has had a new top end, it runs awesome and kicks over fairly easy when cold and runs/drives great, but as soon as it warms up and you shut it off or it stalls out,...

The fuel in the carburetor float chambers is boiling while it sits, and flooding the engine. If it has a fuel petcock turn that off, and let the bike stop through fuel starvation. Then there will be no fuel in there to boil.

A no start when hot starts and runs good when just warm or cold no start when fully warm

There is a sequence to follow when these bikes are hot to get them started. But first.Does the bike start easily when hot if it is push started? If the answer is yes,you need to use the hot start pull switch on the carby and the get the motor in compression before you pull in the small compression lever and slowly push on the kickstarter halfway down.Release lever and fully kick the motor over from the top of the kickstarter.Don't let these bikes sit around idling. They will overheat because they need air to get through the radiator.Hope this helps

2007 honda crf 250 r hard starting when cold ,

There is a proper way to start an engine. Most bikes have four controls to assist in starting.
  • The choke, used when the engine is cold. Pull the red knob for choke.
  • The " Hot Start " Lever, used when the engine is hot. Pull the lever to lean the fuel mix when the engine has been running.
  • The de-compression lever, always used.
  • The throttle, used to prime the cylinder.
Don't kick, instead, push the kick lever downward. You will feel the back pressure as the piston is going upward on the compression stroke to the point the pressure is great enough that the kick lever "locks up". You are very close to TDC. NOW, pull in the de-compression lever. Push the kick lever a little bit more to get the piston past TDC. Now release the de-compression lever. Give the throttle a 1/4 turn then let it snap closed. A diaphragm in the carb gives a shot of gas when this is done. DO NOT do this multiple times because you will flood the engine. Leave the throttle closed when kicking. A flooded engine will often backfire. Now give a strong kick through the full sweep of the kick start lever. Quickly get your foot off the kick lever at the end of the kick to avoid any chance of "kickback" from the kick lever. This happens in the case of a misfire, aka > backfire. It can be very painful, and can even break a leg. I am serious about that. Repeat the process (but without the throttle priming), until the bike starts. Go ahead and give it another primer shot after the 5th kick attempt. A good battery, a clean spark plug, a clean carb and clean air filter will also aid in starting.

2005 Rmz250 wont start when hot.

YOUR BIKE HAS A POWER VALVE (DIAPHRAM FUEL PUMP) THAT GIVES A SHOT OF GAS EACH TIME THE THROTTLE IS TWISTED. WHEN THE BIKE IS HOT, IT FLOODS EASILY. DON'T HIT THE THROTTLE WHEN STARTING THE BIKE WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT.

2006 Maxima starts ok when cold. Really hard to

Might be an oil issue. Oil when hot might be too thick for the pump to pump the oil easily in the engine. Check that and if not that come back.
