You chose a Time Zone setting when you first set up your Kindle Fire. Your Kindle Fire uses the date and time setting to display the time in the Status bar, and also to work with other apps, such as a third-party calendar, for example. If you tap Date and Time in Settings, you see four options:

• Automatic: If you want Kindle Fire to control the date and time based on your location, tap to turn this feature On. If you'd rather set the time manually, tap to turn this Off.
• Set Time: To manually set the time, after you turn the Automatic option Off, tap the arrow on the right of this setting to display additional settings. Tap the + (plus sign) and - (minus sign) buttons to change the time, and then tap Save.
• Set Date: Tap the arrow to the right of Set Date and then tap the + (plus sign) and - (minus sign) buttons to set the date you want, and then tap Save.
• Select Time Zone: Tap the arrow to the right of this setting to change your time zone.
• The Set Time settings become available only if you first turn the Automatic option to Off.

If you power on your device with the screen running.

Swipe down from the very top of the screen.

You will set a settings button with a cog or sprocket above it. Tap the settings button.

In settings you will see device options. Click that.

Next you will see date and time.

Tap the time icon or display showing time. You will then choose your time zone and once chosen your time will auto set to the correct time.

Tap as followed. Settings/DeviceOptions/Date&Time/Time/SetTimeZone

go to settings then click clock and set time

Most kindles are set by pressing the home button, then the menu button. Then select settings, and go to the second page of settings and you will find an option to set the time. Most of the time, your system should update time based on network settings.

Time zone fixed this for me. I was having issues logging into Twitter account on iPad mini and directed me to set my time zone. Once I set the Time Zone to Set Automatically Twitter, iMessage and FaceTime worked.

Did the following:

• Go to Privacy
• Location Services
• System Services
• Turn on "Setting Time Zone"
• Go to General
• Select Date/Time
• Turn on Time zone "set automatically"

Here is the short answer:

1. Go to settings,
2. Open Settings Area, go to Date and Time
3. Tap "Set Time" to manually set the time and date,
4. Un-tick the "Automatic" feature to keep the manual setting.

go to 'settings' scroll down to 'general' on the left side and tap it. scroll down and you will see a tab for 'date & time'. 'set automatically' tab will be set to 'on'. turn off 'set automatically' and it will give you the option to set the time and date yourself.

To set time manually tap settings,tap general,under general on right scroll up screen for date and time listing.Set to off,tap date and time to adjust.Close screen to save.
