Part of the number you store in your speed dial has to include a "9" or 8x access code to get an outside line.

SOURCE: I NEED TO STORE NUMBER ON MY PANASONIC KX T7730

The mechanics of storing a speed dial number on Panasonic phones is the same, even if the phone can be connected to one of 18 different model Key Service Units. It involves pressing PROGRAM a button, an access code, the number, and STORE. In the U.S. our access code to get an outside line is "9". You may be using something different, like '0'.

The differences are if you can dial "9" on the intercom and get a dial tone, which collumn of buttons you press, and/or whether you want this to be PERSONAL numbers or SYSTEM numbers.

In a TA-824, lines are accessed high to low. If you have 2 lines on a basic system and dial "9" to get an outside line, you will land on line 3 if you have not told the system that line 3 is disabled (system program 400). So, the fast answer is press PROGRAM, a button on the right side, dial 9+your desired number and STORE. If it's a left side button, dial 29 instead of 9.

System speed dials requrie access to system program 001.

If this does not work on your system, please comment back with your actual system model number.

If you are using the KX-T7730 phone on a Panasonic 308/824 system. From the Switcboard / Main telephone ( usually ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the cradle press Program * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). Now press 001 and then SP-PHONE. Enter the system speeddial location ( 00 to 99 ) or just press SP-PHONE again to go to 00. Now enter your line access number ( usually 0 or 9 ) followed by the telephone number you would like to assign for the speeddial. Now press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your setting. To go to the next speeddial location press SP-PHONE and follow the above steps again. Press Program to exit program mode. To dial the system speeddial from any extesion lift the handset and press * followed by the speeddial location ( example 00 )

I have registered my Brother MFC 9840CDW on the brother website but it still says "not registered" when I try to email a scanned document. I registered it online. Do I have to do anything on the...

If the LCD shows Not Registered when you enter a One-Touch or a Speed-Dial number, it means that an email or number is not stored there.

If you selected E-Mail and save the E-mail address, you can only use the E-mail address when you are in Scan mode. If you selected IFAX and save the E-mail address, you can only use the E-mail address when you are in Fax mode.

Your machine has 20 One-Touch keys where you can store 40 fax or telephone numbers or E-mail addresses for automatic dialing. To access numbers 21 to 40, hold down Shift as you press the One-Touch key

You can dial in any of the following ways.

Manual dialing
Use the dial pad to enter all the digits of the telephone or fax number.

One-touch dialing

Press the One-Touch key that stores the number you want to call. (See Storing one-touch dial numbers on page 60.)

To dial One-Touch numbers 21 to 40, hold down Shift as you press the One-Touch key.

Speed-dialing

Hold down Shift as you press Search/Speed Dial, and then enter the three-digit Speed-Dial number. (See Storing speed-dial numbers on page 61.) Three-digit number

I need to know how to program the numbers into the speed dial option. My mother's phone is a table set with large numbers #29267A ... close enough?

Before you store a telephone number in memory, make sure the dialing mode is
correctly set for the type of service you have. The default dialing mode is tone
(touch-tone), so if you have pulse (rotary) service, you must first change the dialing
mode. See “To Set the Dial Mode.” The following buttons can be stored into any
memory location: 0-9.
STORING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3. Push the desired memory location button.
4. Press the store button.
5.Use the handset number keys to enter the telephone number (up to 16-digits)
and press the store button.
6.Hang up the handset.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, use the delete button to delete wrong digits.
CHANGING A STORED NUMBER
Repeat the storage sequence above. The new number replaces the old number at
the memory location.
ERASING A STORED NUMBER
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3.Press the memory location (0-9) to be erased.
4.Press delete for three seconds until the number in the display is erased.
5.Hang up the handset.
DIALING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset and press the mem button.
2. Press 0-9 for the memory location. The number dials automatically.
OR
1. Pick up the handset and press the dial button.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location.
3. Press the dial button to dial the number.
OR
1. Press dial button while the handset is still in the cradle.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location, lift the handset and the
number dials automatically.
