Firmware update for sony bravia tv

It appears to be a normal issue with this model, however there is an update on Sony's site that addresses that issue. If you look at the very bottom of the update details I'm about to post, you will see it

Click on Firmware and Read towards bottom of File Description.

It sounds to be a firmware trouble. Will be best to contact the authorized service center for Sony, rather than trying to do it by yourself, as it is a very skilled work, need both concentration and previous experience. google.com/+GopakumarGopalan

I found new firmware update on uk website, does any one tried?

This problems are not tv firmware.Firmware is for basic updating software,never cures hardware problems.This problems is the tv Tuner signal board itself,exchange it to another tv or ask for warrenty repair,just make sure they change the whole tv Tuner signal board.This problems could be anythings in tv Tuner signal board circuitries causing this problems.

download the latest software update for the tv. you can get the software update through esupport.sony.com

After about a year my set developed this problem. I found that updating the firmware to Software Update Filename : ER4.12 46VL150.zip Version : ER4.12-E2 Last Modified : 08/23/2010. You can check the firmware version you are running via Menu - Set Up - Product support with your remote. Go to the Sony support site and search for KDL-46VL150 to find the file to download. Unzip it onto a flash drive, turn the set off, put the flash drive in the service USB port on the back and turn the set on. The sony site has detailed directions.

Try this: got to www.sony.com mouse over "support" then click on "drivers/software" enter your model #(s) and then you can check for firmware updates, the symptoms that you list, unfortunently are somewhat common when connected via HDMI cables.
Check for updates on both product that you list.
