Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heating on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.

Same problem as mine. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem. Seems to me a weak link in the rig.

Krups 203 Blade Replacement Procedure
<span>Krups is among one of the foremost names in coffeemakers, espresso machines, blenders and toaster ovens. Krups also makes coffee bean grinders, such as the Krups 203a. This portable, plug-in grinder has a removable lid and bean grinder chamber. The blade on the Krups bean grinder is fastened to the bottom of the grinder chamber. You may need to replace the blade on your Krups 203. The Krups 203 comes with a limited 1-year warranty, but the company recommends you send your grinder to the company to make repairs. Order replacement parts for your grinder by calling the Krups customer service department at 1-800-526-5377.<br /><br />Unplug your Krups grinder from the wall.<br /><br />Remove the grinder's lid, and use a cloth to wipe out the inside of the grinder chamber.<br /><br />Put your safety gloves on and then grasp the blade of the grinder with your channel locks.<br /><br />Use the pliers to turn the plastic fastening nut to the left as you continue to hold the blade with the channel locks. Once the plastic nut comes loose, twist it off by hand and remove it, along with the plastic washer beneath it and the old blade.<br /><br />Set the new blade in place, and replace the washer and nut. The heating plate is actually your hot water heater for the unit and it has most likely failed. The water flows through the heating plate and heats the water for brewing. Krups replaced my whole coffee brewer.
