If you power it down, plug the adapter in and wait for the charge light to illuminate then power up the laptop. You may find it only charges when not in use.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 2920 won't turn on, although plugged in with battery

First of all, what I'm about to tell you are general troubleshooting techniques - I make no claim that they will fix what you describe, but they may help lead you to a solution.

  1. Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery
  2. Plug in the AC adapter and attempt to power on the laptop
  3. If it doesn't power on, see #6 below. If it does power on, but doesn't boot the OS, restart - pressing [SPACE] as the first Windows splash screen appears. When prompted, choose to delete the hibernation file and start a system boot.
  4. Shut the system down, disconnect the AC adapter, reinsert the battery, and attempt to power the laptop. If it doesn't start we know, at the very least, there's a battery problem.
  5. Plug in the AC adapter. If it shuts down immediately, or won't power back on after a shutdown. . .
  6. . . .there's a problem with the system board, probably the ciruitry associated with charging the battery.
I hope you 'see the light'. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Got new battery for acer aspire 6920. not charging

You ordered the wrong battery, theres two types, your original would have been 11.1v if you check the new one it will be 14.8v. They are not compatable.

It is a sign that your battery is failing. Try to remove the battery then put it back. After that, try to check if you still experience the same thing. If so, then you need a new battery replacement.

Batteries usually start to degrade after a year or after 500 charges, whichever comes first.

Acer aspire 4743 not charging but all Okay.....

The solution to your problem lies in one of the following three areas:

1.) Your acer aspire 4743 charger is faulty and is therefore not able to pass power to your laptops battery.

2.) The charging connector on the laptop has come loose from the contacts. Therefore a bad connection.

3.) Your battery is faulty.

I think possibility 2 is the most likely, although you will have to test possibility 3 by removing the battery and plugging in your charger and seeing if the laptop powers on.If it does power on then that rules out possibility 1 and 2 leaving a faulty battery.

I cant play cd/dvds on my acer 5349

do a diagnostic test on the drive. If it fails, you will need to find another drive. Computers are like lego blocks nowadays, they use interchangeable parts. You may have a buddy with a laptop that has a useful drive in it. a quickie swap is the easiest way to check. Typically, optical drives plug in and out easily, with (maybe) one or two screws to keep the drive in its slot.

I have lost my wireless connection for my Acer Aspire 9300-5349

Hopefully you just shut down the "RADIO" and a switch will turn it back on.

Look on the far left hand sideand there is a row of buttons.

Just to the left of the CAPS LOCK button is a switch for the wireless to turn on and off.

When you get it back up and running download and save the instructions at this site.

Hope this helps. Good Luck and God Bless
