I put a SPARK sim card into a Huawei Y320 initially it was o.k and now I can't get phone coverage only emergency calls t get phone coverage only emergency calls any suggestions would be appreciated

How do I get out of emergency call on my phone

You need to put a working SIM card into your mobile phone and make sure you have network coverage in your area.

And also, make sure you have turned on your sim card(Some phones have a "turn off SIM card" feature,specially dual SIM phones)

Huawei settings

I am guessing you are interested in handsfree call conversation. Whilst it is mentioned on the specification sheet of the phone that it has speaker phone, I do not see any mention of how this is used in the user manual. My guess is that only way to use a remote conversation with this phone is to have a bluetooth headset. Refer page 51 and 52 in the user manual from this site.

ur phone network is having issues.
or ur sim card is the the problem so u need to go to ur provider and change it.
but before that. put ur sim card on another phone and ask ur mam to call u. if the problem keep the same. ur sim card is the problem if not. ur phone certainly got no enought red coverage and that can be because its weak or ur living in a place that got less red coverage

Screen says emergency calls only & won't let me make calls

These are the troubleshooting and resolution steps for customers who see "Emergency Calls Only" or similar messages on their wireless phones. This message normally indicates that the customer lacks a wireless service provider/account or the device/SIM is not recognized.

  1. Power-cycle the device.
    1. Power off the phone. While the SIM card is out of the device, clean the SIM card contacts by following these additional steps:
      1. Gently wipe the SIM with a soft cloth.
      2. Clean the gold contacts on the SIM card using a pencil eraser.
      3. Carefully remove all eraser residues from the SIM card.
      4. Carefully replace the SIM card back into its cavity.
      5. Check for Liquid damage; refer to Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) Log.
      6. Once the SIM card is secure, replace the battery and back cover and power on the phone.
  2. Place an outbound call.
  3. If the test call is successful, end the call.
  4. If the test call is not successful and it is possible, test the SIM card in another known working device.
    • To ensure accurate results, the test device must be the same technology as the device in question (UMTS, GSM, etc).
    • Ensure the test device is the same type of device (smartphone to smartphone, non-smartphone to non-smartphone).
  5. If the test call is successful with the SIM in a different phone,
  6. If the test call is not successful, the SIM needs to be replaced. Or you can call at&t so they can give you a free sim card. it depends on the situation.

Dropped nokia phone on floor and there is a black X in the left corner. message says emergency calls only. Screen is fine and I checked the sim card is fine too. Help!

Hi yogadebbie,
"Emergancy calls only" usually means there is no network coverage.
Try.....

1. Turn phone off.
2. Take sim card out.
3. Leave phone off for 60mins
4. Insert sim card back into phone and turn the phone on.

If this doesnt work, you can contact your network for more information.
