Mic not working but ear piece does work. I can hear party I call but they cannot hear me.

Welcome to Fixya. Phone Company is correct with their resolution. The problem that you have with the phone is the ear piece. The ear piece is the part of the phone that allows you to hear the other party. If this is happening on the phone you might need to change the phone or the handset with a working one so that you will be able to hear the other party.

they are not compatable... read your booklet that came with your head set and you will see if small print that it is not compatable with datel controllers. you can get a typical head set with mic. that comes with your cell phone as i have and with the plastic clip that comes with the cell phone set clip the mic part just above the foam cover over the turtle beach mic. (also turn off the mic. part of the turtle beach unit) then put the cell phone single ear piece into your left ear and then put on the turtle beack head set. due to the small size of the cell phone ear piece you will not feel it. then plug into your datel controller the plug from the cell phone head and mic piece. you will hear thru the turtle beach all of the game sounds, etc.. and thru your cell phone set you will hear you chat. it works and will do until datel or turtle beach comes out with a fix, if ever.

take your cell phone ear piece and mic attached cable and clamp the mic part with the clamp that is on the cable to the end of the turtle beach mic piece just before the foam cover with the cell phone mike facting toward you. plug in the cell phone ear piece to your left ear and then put the tuttle beach head set on just a normal. the cell pone ear piece is so small that you will not even know it is there when you cover it with the turtle beach head set. plug in the cable from the cell phone into the port in the rear of your turbo fire two controler and away you go. you can enjoy the great sound of the turtle beach head set and at the same time chat with the cell phone mike. you can adjust the sound level on the head set but you will not be able to adjust the volume on the cell phone mike. but it works fine just place the head set mike boom real close to your mount so your friends can hear you well. I use it in two worlds two in the marshlands while leveling up on x box live. you can find me a DeepReserve which is my game tag.

You have made it clear, your problem is with the mic. If you know how to replace it you can give a try, otherwise i would recommend you to take it to the repairing shop and get it repaired. It's will cost a maximum of $10 (rate varies with countries) including service charge. Universal Mic is the best, so if you buy one, ask for a universal mic. Good luck.

Can other players hear you speaking on XBOX Live chat? I'm not sure if you mean "you" can't hear yourself speaking or that "others" can't hear you speaking.

My earphones don't work. Nothing doesn't seem to be broken. Just doesn't work. Have to watch movies on speaker now. Really annoying.

When you make call no body can hear you because there will be mic in your handset it might be in loose contact or the mic is damaged ...

and you cannot hear them because the ear piece speaker is also in loose contact or it is damaged ...

if you are good at opening the handset then just open it and just have a check is there any miscontact in both the mic & the ear piece speaker ...

i think the mic and ear piece speaker are not touching to the circuit board so as it is not in contact you are facing this problem ..
check for the miscontact and solve it ... if they are damaged then replace with the new ones..
while purchasing the new ear piece & mic buy which is compatible to your handset model ..
if you are not good in opening then just visit the technician ...
he will do it ...
The price of the ear piece speaker & the mic are very cheap ...
if you visit the technician then he may take the service charges extra ...

THIS IS VISHU HERE, IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS SOME PROBLEM IN YOUR AUDIO SOCKET.THE SOCKET WHERE WE CONNECT THE EAR PHONE , BCOZ NORMALLY WHEN WE CONNECT THE EAR PHONE ON A GOOD WORKING DEVICE IT CUTS THE AUDIO FROM MAIN SPEAKERS/MIC AND ROUTE IT TO EARPHONES , THIS FUNCTION IS PERFORMED BY METALIC CONTACTS PRESENT WITHIN THE SOCKET THE PROBLEM IS WITH THESE CONTACTS MEANS THESE CONTACTS ARE REMAINING IN CUT OFF POSITION EVEN AFTER REMOVING THE EARPHONE .
TRY TO GET UR SOCKET REPLACED , HOPE IT WILL SOLVE UR PROBLEM.
