I connected the Olympus to my Mac PowerBook G4 and downloaded all the files to my desktop. Then I deleted the files from the Olympus (via the computer system).
Then I properly ejected the Olympus from the USB port.
But now the screen stays on "Connect To PC."
What do I do? help! I have an event to record right now!!!

The PowerBook G4 line was the last generation of the PowerBook series, and was succeeded by the Intel-powered MacBook Pro line in the first half of 2006. The latest version of OS X any PowerBook G4 can run is Mac OS X Leopard, released in 2007.[
You could try deleting the .plist files related to the modem's software. You will find them under:
Macintosh HD - Users - "your user id" - Library - Preferences. Do a folder search in there for the "LG" and delete any files that say "com.lg..." This will reset any preferences you have set in the software and force it to create new ones.
It's most likely the bluetooth icon. You can use bluetooth to up/download files from a bluetooth compatible phone, or other device into your laptop. You need to "find" and "connect" both pieces of equipment to work together first. Similar to a bluetooth headset with your phone. Easy to do and then it's easy to transfer files..
Mac OS X will not file-share any non-HFS volume over a network. However, you can set up such sharing manually if you are willing to use the command-line interface by following the detailed instructions at

Suchisart,
If you want a stand alone backup solution, you can download a free program called "Carbon Copy Cloner" and purchase a USB 2.0 external hard drive. You can use the CCC software to backup the entire contents of your Powerbook's hard drive or just selected files to the external USB hard drive.
If your Powerbook is unable to boot into OS X and you need to recover the files that are on the internal hard drive, you can boot the Powerbook into "Target Disk Mode" and transfer the files via firewire cable to another Mac. To do this do the following.
With both Macs off connect them with a firewire cable.
Turn on the Powerbook and hold down the "T" during startup.
Once the large icon shows up on screen your in "TDM".
Turn on the other Mac and login to your account.
The Powerbook's hard drive should mount on your desktop.
You'll be able to transfer your files from the Powerbook's hard drive just like you would an external hard drive, thumb drive, etc.
Don't forget to vote and leave us some feedback. :)

8065 refers to a cross-platform error (like between a p/c system and a mac system). You could try copying your file to a cd and burn the cd to be compatible with pc or mac and then transfer to the other system.
Well, if you erase the wrong files, you'll sure get a kernel panic.
To power down your PowerBook when there is a kernel panic on the screen (or any frozen state) you have to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until the Mac shuts off. Then you can restart it.
If you deleted too many of the wrong files, it may not restart to your satisfaction. :-(
I would start by looking in:
Apple Menu>System Preferences>Keyboard & Mouse,
& just check the settings for your trackpad.
Sometimes if you have it set so you can tap the tracking surface,
it can be too sensitive.
Hope that helps.
