Doesn't power on

Running a ups without batteries is not a got idea, the batteries are a critical part of the system and without them the ups will not function when the mains power is cut off.
however we can determine if the batteries may be an issue by removing them and checking the output voltage of each battery with a multimeter. I have personally found in the past anything less than 6v may or may not indicate an issue.
With all that said the ups should still turn on and try to boot and charge the batteries regardless if the batteries are dead flat or not. Assuming mains power is connected and the safety fuse is good then it seems most likely a fault in one of the control boards.

It's also worth mentioning that the fans will only start when either the inverter is running ie the mains supply is cut or like in my units the fans will remain on after the mains supply has been restored until the batteries have been recharged.

Tcpv10 main board

I've looked all over, that main board is on back order. However the typical price for the board is $120-$170. Personally, I would toss the TV on Craigslist as a parts set. If you get $40-$60 for the set as is, TAKE IT AND RUN !!! I would buy a new set and use the money you get from the sale of the old TV to pay for extended warranty.

I have a Aquos LC-37GP1U new out of box. Have the blinking light issue. Power on for 2 seconds and then shut off. Replaced the power supply board as it was cracked. Still didn't help. Should I be...

Hi,

You have to check if the replacement power supply board is the same part no. as the original one, it is printed on the board itself.

I don't think that the fault came from defective electrolytic capacitor because like what you have said, the unit is new out of the box and you've already replaced the power supply board which is most of faulty electrolytic capacitor came from that board.

You've mentioned also that the original power supply board has cracked, I've suspected that the main board also has been damaged because the blinking led light error codes will be encountered if the power supply board or main board gone to malfunction. If you've confirm that the power supply board is the same part no. like the original one, then I would advice you to replaced the main board.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Have a great day!

Hello, I've got a Denon AVR-2106 dropping into standby every time I turn it on. I know this is fairly regular problem, and I've seen plenty of posts here suggesting things to look at to diagnose...

check the power supply for the micro controller \ logic.

5 or 3.3 Volt IC's

And check with AC measurement too ( try to measure AC ripple )
Could very well be dry electrolytic capacitors with excessive ESR.

My panasonic phone will not stop blinking. We've never replaced the battery. Is it possible that is the problem?

Hello there,
The problem most definitely is not from the battery of the phone, it is related to the screen therefore, it is either the flexi cable or connection link between the screen and the main board. Have it checked and you will find the fault is from the link from the main board to the screen.

thank you for using fixya.

Relay click and 9 blinking led.

Try the following steps:
1. Remove the power supply to X Main board, check VE. If you get normal VE then replace the X Main board. Otherwise to 2.
2. Remove the power supply to Y Main board, check VE. If you get VE then replace the Y Main board, otherwise to 3.
3. Replace the SMPS board & SMPS 200V board.

Good Luck

Canon eos 300d (digital)

your manual is the first place to look for an error code. then the canon site.
guessing it is a defective on board battery (the smaller of the two) or your main battery is depleted.
try removing and reinstalling the main battery first. then check the on board battery.
you may have a lens partially mounted, or some contamination on either the battery terminals or lens terminals, or a door partially open.
also, you should take out the mem card and check it in a card reader.
none of this will likely be needed if you can find the error code data. it might be that the code is specific enough to indicate the root cause of the problem.
good luck
