Since installing this oven, it's never been useable. Tech came a number of times, readjust something...but never worked. We just want simple baking to work; none of this convection. This is the worst expensive useless oven... looks mint after many years. Also, fan goes on in middle of night even if it sat for months. Turned the breakers off! Got no more patience..going to buy another oven this week President sale! POS Dacor!
SOURCE: Dacor Oven - convection fan stays on while on "bake" setting
Question: does the unit appear to hold the correct temperature? Most convection units only turn the heating elements on and off...not the fan. If the unit is reporting operating temp and then taking other direction...and it is cooking right...you're done.

We have the same issue anc alled Dacor. I seems as there is a problem with the oven as it was built with a faulty or missing temp control part. They have a fix for this problem by installing a temp control kit. you need to work through the warrantee group

the problem was fixed by opening the panel between the oven cavity and the touch panel just behinf the door. you can look through the grill but to trip the reset you must unscrew the panel. you will find the reset back behind the wires Looks a red button nestled on top not very open but it should be there> i do have to say i found a step by step description on this site. but right now i can't tell you who exactly he was.

HI - I just had the same problem - repairman came and reset the breaker in the oven which "tripped" (even tho I havent used the lower oven in months). Read posts here on other Dacor ovens which explain how to get to the reset switch to avoid having $150 in repair costs - I have not tried that myself tho but good luck!
it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area
