I have a 9 year old Frigidaire electric range. Sporadically the clock starts flashing and range and oven not working.

If I reset the clock sometimes the burners will work but oven seems to be working at half power if at all. Tending to think its the ECP, electronic control panel, but before I spend $200 for the part to repair myself how can I be sure? Appreciate any help.

You have correctly diagnosed the problem part. The ECP controls the entire range.

My oven just started beeping and flashing an F1 symbol and won't stop for a while. Can someone tell me why this is and how to fix it? Thank you so very much.

Hi,

You can try a hard reset by unplugging the range for a good 1/2 hour, then plug back in. Unfortunutely this probably won't work, as these clock/timers are notorious for only lasting a few years. You have to blow $150+ and replace the clock/timer.

Note: A hair dryer will help you get the face off the old one to put onto the new one

My Electric Frigidaire Convection Oven just locked it's own door! I heard a continual beep..then "Err" "F9" flashed, then beeping stopped and the illuminated "padlock" symbol lit up and the door locked...

I have a similar problem with my electric Frigidaire convection oven, which flashes ERR F9 and beeps after finishing a cleaning cycle; if you haven't had to have it repaired professionally by now you might try cutting the circuit breaker to the oven for a few seconds and then turning it back on. My oven takes a few minutes to reset, after the circuit is turned back on, but then will unlock the door and let me reset the clock and continue cooking as normal. . . until the next time I set the clean cycle.

Frigidaire electric stove keeps beeping

IF IT HAS A MECHANICAL CLOCK, THE START AND STOP TIMES NEED TO BE SET, THE OVEN CONTROL SET TO CLEAN, AND THE SELECTOR SWITCH SET TO CLEAN.
TO CLEAN NOW SET START TIME TO THE TIME ON THE CLOCK AND THE STOP TIME TO 3 HOURS LATER.
LOCK THE DOOR. IT SHOULD START AND THE CLEAN LIGHT SHOULD ILLUMINATE, OR OVEN ON LAMP SHOULD LIGHT.
IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOCK OR THE CONTROLS OR THE LOCK ASSEMBLY.
A WIRING DIAGRAM WOULD BE BEST FOR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM.

Richard, sounds like you did all the pretests. You'll need a new display panel. When you work on it, be sure to cut the power.
