Why is it taking a long time to start popping, not popping completely, and leaving excess oil?

Has started making a screeching noise when popping; most recent attempts at popping took a very long time to pop any kernels even though the kettle seemed plenty hot. When it finally started popping, it started to burn before kernels began to pop out of kettle and when attempted to dump excess oil poured out on several occasions. We are using the premeasured popcorn/oil packs. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. The pdf manual you attached is for a different model #. This one is a 2121. Do you have one specifically for it that might have a troubleshooting section as well?

Thank you for your response. It appears to me that our model does not have a bucket seasoning pump.

Sounds like the kettle isn't getting hot enough. The thermostat is usually at fault in this situation which can be determined by checking the amp draw on the kettle. the common complaint is the kette is too hot and burning but what really is going on is it's not hot enough so the seed won't pop. Because of the heat that is there it will loose it's moisture, dry out and burn instead. You will end up with lots of old maids . Really stale corn seed will act the same way because all the moisture in it is gone and thats what is needed to pop it.

Have you checked to assure that the warmer switch and the kettle heat switch are both functioning properly? Also the timer on the bucket seasoning pump control box determines the length of time the heat element of the bucket pump is at HIGH HEAT i also suggest you take a look at this pdf of the manual of your machine under the troubleshooting guide area if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again

Why is there delayed start & screeching?

The motor needs to be oiled. There are places to add oil on the ends of the motor. There may be a start capacitor that needs replaced too.

My jeep recently started to make a screeching noise when i turn it on. And when I reach a stop light it will shut off and not turn back on when I turn the key. It just makes a clicking noise. Please help!

Screeching noises usually mean a bearing is seized or about to seize. The fact it stalls and won't start indicates its more likely an oil pressure issue, since many car computers will shut the engine down to protect it from damage, if a low or no oil pressure condition is detected. You need to take it in ASAP and have it checked so any damage is kept to a minimum.

Hi i have a 05 transporter 1.9tdi with roughly 100k makes a screech when locking left plus white smoke when starting only sometimes ,any ideas ,dont want too go too main dealer they will want my house...

like your style ,want the house ?? the left turn power screech could just be the belt needs a bit mor tension ,check the oil level first though ,now as for the white smoke on starting ,WELL IGNORE IT this is caused by the automatic excess fuel cold start device and the smoke is a light grey not white but it appears like this as you see light through it making it look white .This is normal on a cold morning it doesnt need new filters or the codes read or a tranny flush or the pigs tails brushing just leave alone ,check the steering fluid level use ATF to top up or hydraulic oil then if still screeches tighten the belt unless its a one big one in whick case it may need a new tensioner or just leave it alone its not a major problem as yet .Must tell the other mechanics in the pueblo this morning as we congregate in marias bar for brekkie and coffee and tell tall tales but this one will take the biscuit thats for sure .

Loud screeching noise coming from the unit.

A screeching or squealing noise usually comes from the fan motor. There may be an oil port and you can buy a small telescoping oil bottle at a super hardware store or an a/c supply house. Before putting in he oil, remember to TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE UNIT and only use a light squeeze on the bottle - over oiling will cause a mess inside the motor. It may be a sealed motor and no oil ports. In either case, budget for a new motor as if it's to the squealing stage, the bearings are already damaged and it's a just matter of time before before the motor bearings fail. If possible, get oil on the bearings ASAP - and use the proper lightweight oil for made for this application.

Screeching noise in maytag topload washer

The following link explains the problem you are having with your Maytag:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r387833-maytag_washer_squeaking_problem

It is common for the brakes on Maytag top loaders to wear and make noise, as well, as the snubber. There is a helpful tip that you can try to quieten the noise if it is the snubber. DO NOT oil it, or lubricate with any petroleum based products! This will ruin the unit and actually make the problem worse. NOTE: If the snubber is excessively worn, it was also cause vibration on the spin cycle.

If the brakes are worn, however, you can put a light film of oil on the brake pad. It is common for the pad to collect moisture in humid and damp climates and start to squeak against the brake stator. The brake pad consists of a rotor with a leather edge (pad). The leather can absorb moisture and begin to squeak against the brake stator. Oiling it slightly will get rid of the noise.

Confused? If you have questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information useful.

NOTE: There is a follow-up comment at the bottom of the link I provided from another user. The method this person used to release the tension on the brake can save you from having to purchase the brake release tool.
