Use a Display port-to-DVI cable. Connect the small plug at one end of the cable to the Display port on the side panel of the computer. Connect the large plug vat the other end of the cable to the DVI port on the back of the monitor.
Turn the computer on. Open the display settings window and select which screen you want - computer screen, external monitor screen, or both.

what do you see on the screen we can not see.
bios admin locked out.
hdd pw lockout
windows (is it) login page locked out.
why not ask son for his help and credentials to use it.
to reset any PC
the manual on all PCs cover that.
did you lose the recovery DVD?
NO OS told but or if ever upgraded.
oops its a chromebook. not windows.

try this: remove battery, remove power cable, push and hold down the power button for 1 m (over 60s) do not short time. release the button, insert the power cable. wait 10s then push and hold power button till you see any lite flash release and see if you boot.
some time the static is built and that causes failure to start.
above should clean any static and allow reset of power adapter to function. if yes,. then once you shut down . insert the batter and ;et it charge for 3 mins.. then try to start.

Try cleaning RAM, if still the same, have some to look at it

If the asus erecovery managment system did not work on three occasions, your machine never posted properly to allow it to complete the operation. Appears that the bios chip is corrupted. You can try having the chip reflashed if possible, or simply replace the motherboard with identical unit so you do not have driver issues.

you might need to replaced your screen

It appears it's time for you to warranty the book. Contact Samsung's warranty department with the information provided in your user manual.
