When editing the id3tag info in the program, it takes like a minute for the program to change the info for each track after I have already entered in the info. That seems to be way too long just to edit the info. Is this normal? and is there a different way to edit the info?

Naming tracks on my new MP3 player

The software that comes with your player uses an online database from "Gracenote" (link below)to name the tracks. When you copy from a CD the software recognises the disk & looks up the database to find the track info, if you are not connected to the internet or your firewall software is blocking the request it will not be able to retrieve the track info & will just name the tracks "track 1" etc. You can rename the track yourself in the program by highlighting the track in the PC software and pressing the right mouse button & choose "property" this opens a window where you can edit the track title but not the file name. You can update the tracks you already have by connecting to the internet then highlight & right click as before but now choose "get track info", the software will connect & retrieve the track info and ask if you want to change it. There is a problem with language CD's as they will often not be in the database and you will need to name them yourself. There are many helpful programs available (some free) to rename the tracks (technically known as ID3 tags). Search on the web for "mp3 tag software". http://www.gracenote.com/music/

I transferred a program into the calculator using the TI Connect software but when i go to the program in the calculator it says "undefined." I tried transferring the program from another calculator to...

Hi,
A program, or an Application are both programs, but the former will be accessed through the program manager [PRGM] and the latter through application manager .[APPS] .If it is a program (in the context of the TI84Plus) you press [PRGM]. You see three menus [Exec [Edit] [New]. If there are any programs in the calculator, you should see them under [Exec] and under [Edit].

A. To RUN a program
  1. To run a program already in calculator, you select its name under the [EXEC] menu and press [ENTER]. If you get an error message "undefined" it is most certainly due a variable or parameter used in the program without its being defined first.
  2. This is programming error that must be corrected by editing the program.
  3. Usually you get a QUIT or GOTO in the error message.
  4. Press the number corresponding to GOTO and the cursor will be at the place where the error occurs
  5. If a program is archived (it has an asterisk in front of it name) you cannot run it. It must be unarchived first.
B. To edit a program
  1. To edit a program already in calculator, you select its name under the [EDIT] menu and press [ENTER].
  2. If you are allowed to edit it, you will be able to enter, delete and modify commands.
  3. To do so, you must know the programming language of the TI84Plus.
  4. If a program is archived (it has an asterisk in front of it name) you cannot edit. It must be unarchived first.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for rating this solution.

How to locate serials for programs on my PC

On your old PC try this...

Some programs "not all", when they install on Windows, will log their serial # in the Windows Registry.
Click on the [START} button. Select [RUN} and type REGEDIT and hit the [ENTER] key.
The registry should open...

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING WHILE IN HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

We aren't going to change anything here, we are just going to look!

At the top of the Registry there is a menu...
Select {EDIT} then click on {FIND}.

In the search box type SERIALNUMBER.
the word serialnumber should have NO SPACES...
Once this is done press the [ENTER] key on the keyboard.

On the left will be folders with Program Names, on the right will be the info that you are looking for.
There is a TON on info in the Registry so take your time.
Press the [F3] button on your keyboard to see the next item found.
Slowly keep pressing [F3] until you see the program needed on the LEFT SIDE of the screen.
On the RIGHT SIDE may be the info that you are looking for...

Keep doing this until you have the info wanted then just EXIT out of the Registry...
Like I said NOT ALL programs put the Serial Numbers in the registry, but this is the first place to look.

Won't let me name songs

To put names on the tracks, artists, albums, etc. You must put the track on a media player. (Windows Media is what I use), go right click on the track and select "Edit". From there, you can name the track, and if you have the MP3 plugged into the computer, it should automatically change to what the computer as it saved as.
Not finding what you are looking for?
