I recently order a new power supply board from 'shop jimmy', and while not an experienced tv repair guy, I checked all the numbers and parts on the board. I went to unscrew the old one and put this one on, when I realized there's a pin connector cable that goes from a 20 pin on the main board to a 16 pin on the power supply. On this new board that jimmy sent, it has a 14 pin connection. I don't solder, so can I get a connector cable somewhere that's 20 pin to 14 pin that will work? Or do I need to somehow get a 16 pin female connection on the new board

So the standby 5vdc is working but not the rest of the power supply outputs are working? Look for PS_ON signal (3.3~5vdc for ON) from the main board that feed the power supply board. You can tak ethe power supply moudule out the do bench test using 24v lamp attach to the 24vdc out put and feed the PS_ON with 3.3v to see if the 24vdc will turn on.

Hey Tony,
The IR board will be on the inside of either the bottom center, left, or right of the front bezel.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.
