There is a water level pressure switch that is your issue. Replace that or if youre lucky, clean the hose/pipe connected to the pressure switch and it could work again.

Zanussi ZDF26001XA code .30 anti flood device. how do i fix it without calling a mechanic?

Under the base of the machine, above the floor there is a tray with a sensor in it and that is what triggers the Flood Error Code. So the machine needs to come out, the back or side panel removed and the tray thoroughly dried. You also need to find where that water came from. If the salt container is in the base, it may be leaking if you were breaking up the salt.

The dishwasher fills up it starts to spray the water but after 5 seconds it emptys. It then does the other the rest of the wash normally. This happens in all modes.

Check to see if water at the base of the washer has caused the "anti flood system" to trigger. The anti flood device is a polystireene float and micro switch that does trigger (and puts the washer in pump out mode) once water via leak or spill is detected. You can tilt the washer to 45 degrees and check if a small amount of water comes out of the bottom. As you indicate that the washer emptys after 5 sec I do think that the anti flood system is causing this.

Whirlpool dihwasher adp 4552. Water comes into dishwasher, appears to start cycle then water is drained out again and light flashes to show a problem!

This is a typical anti flood activation due to the anti flood device (polystireen float and micro switch) at the base of the washer detecting a water leak / spill. This device puts the washer in pump out mode. Check to see if water at the base is causing the polystireene float to activate the switch. Dry the water and rectify the fault (normally a leaky pipe or pipe clamp) and this should solve the problem.

Fridgidaire FDB1250REC dishwasher comes on, fills some water in bottom then cycle stops but can hear motor turning on and off, water will drain when I try to start cycle again.

This seems to be the "anti flood" device at the base of the washer is triggered due to water at the base of the washer. This safety device consists of a polystireene float and a micro switch that detects water leaks/spills and automatically puts the washer in pump out mode. You need to find the leak (hose or clamp)dry the base and rectifythe leak it before the washer works.

Machine not starting ...Programme Progress Display light flashing

This normaly indicates an error code. Could be the anti flood device activated due to water leaks etc. The anti flood device (polystireene float and micro switch at base of machiene) puts the washer on pump out mode and shuts off the inlet water. Dry the water at the floor of the washer and check and rectify any leaks.

Dishwasher starts but after a pre rinse it won't

This sounds like the anti flood device has activated (due to some water on the bottom base of the washer) This device shuts of the water inlet and puts the pump out motor on (the sound you are hearing). Nothing els happens until the water on the base is dried and the faulty pipe / leak rectified.
The anti flood device is a small polystireene plate connected to a micro switch on the bottom of the washer.

Anti flood device has activated on my zanussi ZDF231,also there is quite aloud whirring sound ,like a motor struggling to work

The anti flood activates when water (even a small amount) appears on the bottom of the machiene. This is usualy a leaking pipe but can also be caused by a clogged pipe. Most machiens do have a plastic pipe that (from the flat water tank) feeds water to the bottom of the machiene in case of an internal fault. The anti flood is normaly a polystireen float with micro switch on the base of the washer. This automatically puts the outlet pump on to drain the water.

Hi, my zanussi zdf221 dishwasher wont work, it makes a noise and constantly empties, any ideas please

The outlet pump is triggered by the anti flood micro switch via the polystyreene float on the base of the washer. If any water for whatever reason (leaky pipe)is on the floor the machiene automatically switches to pump out mode and only works once the water and the cause is rectified
