GE Spectra burner stays on high

When turning on burner you cannot regulate temp, it stays on high no matter temp setting

If this is the one with the auto temp burner , defined by a sensor sticking up from its center , this maybe a normal condition for it without a pan on it , as I had one of these come on my new stove , as being a exe chief for 6 years id always set my flame height before setting the pan down , this feature took me some getting used too !!! to say the least !!

but now that im used to it , its great I love it , no more burnt on messes , works great with caramelizing things !!!

My front left burner on my GE Spectra Glass Top stove will not turn off it turns on off on its own so we unplugged it

Replace the switch for that burner. (the shaft of the switch has the burner temp knob on it)

While cooking on the right front burner, it began cooking on high, even though it was set on 5. Now it only heats on high,even if the burner starts from cold and I turn it on to LO. My stove is a GE model...

if the burner works on high ( burner is ok ) replace the sw on back panel it's the problem / this is not a uncommon problem .. ****

Xl44 oven burner pulses, doesnt properly heat up.

it seems the burner in the oven is clogged, by grease, carbon or corrosion, it may need replacing, specialy if this is an older unit

The temp/flame on my weber grill won't get hotter

Hello,

Check the excess flow safety device, which is part if the barbeque to cylinder connection, may have activated. To reset the excess flow safety device turn all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve off.
Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to high. Wait at least 1 minute . Turn burner control knobs OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. turn cylinder valve slowly.

The burner control. (Reostat) The think the knob controles is likely shorting out within itself. Replace it.

dont know how old unit is or how familiar you arewiththe unit, but the burner will need to heat up and cycle off/on. no matter how high or low you set the setting it will heat to a specific temp and cycle off, if hte burner remained RED all the time the glass would crak( so dont go by appearnce of burner, the glass should dictate the temp

I will need the complete model #. There should be a sticker near the bottom front behind the drawer. Can't use the # that is on the owners manual.

GEXL44 RANGE FLAME PULSES

sounds like the regulator.look at it and see if it has a nut on it.if it does remove the nut and turn the unit on.if the problem cleared up clean out the nut (its called the vent and theres a little ball inside) if it doesnt work replace the regulator.if the units propane make sure all the burner orfices are cleaned.propane burns dirty.
