I presume you have a box and not a stream stick.Try unplugging ROKU box. Many units have a button you have to push on remote after plugging in ROKU box, this connect Remote to ROKU box.If this doesn't work take out batteries in remote and put back in,this has to be done after you plug in ROKU box.Are batteries weak, try some new ones?

If you have a smartphone there is a free app from Roku that will convert your phone into a remote control for Roku. If you have the Roku screen you may want to try that to prove the remote is bad and may have to be paired.

I would disconnect the power going to the Roku Stick, wait at least a minute or so, reconnect the stick to the power supply. If this does not work contract customer support at this link: Contact Support

My TCL Roku TV has a steady light (standby mode) when plugged in but does not respond to the remote nor can I use the app. No sound or picture. What can be the issue?

Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries from the remote. Unplug the power from your Roku device and wait approximately 5 seconds, then reconnect the power cable. Once the Roku logo appears on the home screen, reinsert the batteries in the remote

My roku remote is flashing green and wont work with new batteries

The Roku remote needs to re-paired with the Roku Player.
Open the Battery case on the Roku remote (Roku 4 remotes) look for a button and hold for 2 seconds this will then sync it to the Roku player.

Roku 2 remote won't work

Hi,

If you have a Wi-Fi Roku remote or a bluetooth Roku Remote, the remote needs to be paired with the unit first before you can control the device. To pair the unit with the remote, you can do the following:

  1. Turn off the Roku player for 30 seconds by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet.
  2. Once you have the bouncing Roku on your TV screen, open the battery compartment of the remote and press the purple button there once.
  3. The Led on the remote should start blinking.
  4. Leave the Led blinking and don't press any button on your Roku remote.
  5. Wait for the Led to stop blinking.
  6. Once the Led stopped blinking, try to test any button and see if it works.
