I know you are looking to have the remote starter run a third time but I would say you need to look at your Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Scion. Sounds like it is not holding fuel pressure at the fuel rail and that is why it requires a third Crank
the light in th DASH-BOARD IS out, if you hear clicking & outside is click-g,theres not a fuse,for signals, there is a flasher-relay chk under dash or by th kick-panel or next to FUSE-CLUSTER(BOX),

Possible low fuel pressure. Turn the key on and off a couple of times and see if it will not start better. You may have a weak pump or a bad pressure regulator.
There is a black locking ring holding the bulb in. After disconnecting the electrical connector turn the lock ring approx. 45-90 degrees counter clockwise, remove the lock ring then pull out the bulb.
