When I try to turn on the tv the power lights up then gos off in about 2-3 seconds.and wont turn on

unplug, take out battery then hold power button for 30 seconds then plug back in and turn on
if the3 laptap gos on without the battery you need a new battery

Check the Flyback Transformer and Hot. especially if its a soft ticking sound

Try holding down the power button for a minute and this should turn it off so the blue light gos off, then you can press the button again it should come on properly.

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement. if it is a red light.... you have the ps3 equivalent to the rings of death on a xbox 360 meaning it had a serious system crash it has something to do with the gpu and cpu and you must send it back for a replacement as it is unfixable, here what the colors mean, red=dead, green=good, yellow=overheated

To find out if the problem is temporary

1. Turn off the television.

IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.

2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.

3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.

4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.



NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

5. Turn on the television.

I'll go through the basics that you can try yourself. It might be a problem with the backlighting, which usualy is very cheap to fix - take a flash light, dim the lights in the room and flash the light into the screen to see if theres any picture visible. If so then you're looking at a backlight or backlight inverter failure, like I said, cheap. second(or first) thing to try is changing the cables you have the TV connected with, they might not be seated well, or have some other problem.
