Panasonic T.V. model number PT-47WX42F no picture or sound
I have a Panasonic T.V. model number PT-47WX42F. When I turn the set on there is no picture or sound and it appears the red light blinks 5 times. Anyone have any ideal what this means?

Thats a convergence issue. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the components and the CD with detailed instructions.
You DO NOT have a DLP set, you have a conventional rear projection set with 3 picture tubes in it. If your led's are blinking then you have a problem loading down the power supply. I recommend you call a service company.
Look for a used Panasonic PT-47WX42F One in Local ads, Or place a wanted ad for your model. ~ Or if you want A new one, Get ahold of a TV Shop And OR Panasonic and be ready to spend lots of $$$$ ~ And yes there easy to replace!, Make sure you have a large clean area to work in, And a helper. Becarful and replace them back in as they came out! ( Top Bottom) they should be marked with a small tag or mark.... Geo*

Page 11 ('auto diagnosis feature') shows a table of LED flashes and what each one means. I'd start by checking D-board (since that is power and deflection) and going from there.
Yes it is that set uses the same IC STK392-110 You can get the new ICs at this link and they will provide free installation instructions with pictures as well as free on line tech support instant messaging while you do the repair. heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
