My TV works excellent picture and sound with high quality, but the picture goes off with sound still on and come again after few minutes? I wanted to confirm first that the PSU is defective and not some other part like wires or cables before purchasing a new one, so any help or suggestions?
You only need a PSU board if the back light inverters are combined with it. Otherwise look for the inverter board. To be sure it's defective, when the picture goes off shine a flashlight on the screen to see if you can spot movement from the program on the screen. If you can see movement then the inverter board needs replacing. If you can't see any movement then the T-Con board is bad. Testimonial: "Thank you so much Lawerence, actually my TV model is Element FLX3711B which has the PSU combined with T-con in one board but the backlight inverter is a separate board."
