I can't get sound on my kodi. What am I doing wrong?

Reinstall Kodi

But make sure that you uninstall Kodi first and then reinstall it again if the sound issue has been resolved.

Update Kodi with the latest version

A new release of Kodi version can fix some bugs and gives a better experience. To install the latest Kodi go to the download page/application store and update Kodi.

Reconfigure the Audio Settings on the Kodi

Sometimes incorrect audio settings in Kodi can cause the no sound issue, you need to check the audio settings by the following procedure.
  • First, launch Kodi on your device.
  • And on the home screen of Kodi click the Settings button.
  • After that, Click on the System Settings.
  • And now Click on the Standard to change it to different settings mode until and unless you don't see Advanced in the left pane, once you get it, click Advanced to go to the Advanced settings.
  • Then Click Audio in the left pane, and adjust the audio settings to match your audio output device.
  • After that, restart the device and try it again to see if the sound is working or not.

Check hardware issue

Sometimes hardware issue causes no sound issue in your computer so check your hardware works or not by following the steps.

Check Audio Cable

Always see that audio cable works or not while using Kodi TV box or speakers, you can try another audio cable and try your audio cable in another device to troubleshoot.

Check Connecting Ports

Check on the connecting ports and ensure that the connecting ports are working nicely sometimes dust in ports causes the issues so use the brush to clean the brush and try it again.

Check Bluetooth Audio Connection

And if you are using the Bluetooth audio connection always pay attention to the unstable Bluetooth connection because Bluetooth connection will be interfered by other signals so be careful and turn off other Bluetooth connection and try to turn off the Bluetooth connection on Kodi, and turn it on to see if it works or not.

Update the sound driver on Windows

In the window to fix the sound issue on Kodi, you can upgrade the sound driver and, by going to the manufacturer's website, you can manually update your audio driver then download latest sound driver for your Windows computer.
  • If you don't have enough time and you don't want to wait to then do it automatically with Driver Easy.
  • Download and install Drive Easy
  • Now run the Driver Easy and click the Scan Now button it will scan and detect any problem drivers.
  • Now click on the Update All the automatically download and install the correct version.

Restart your computer to make it take effect

After updating the sound driver again try Kodi to see if the sound's working.

Run Kodi in another device

If above mention doesn't solve the issue then, try Kodi in another different device. Something must be wrong with the hardware device.

Audiosonic bluetooth speakers

A number of possible problems here. First, make sure your blue tooth stack is up to date. That means downloading the latest drivers. Second, make sure the speakers work by installing them onto another system. Third, make sure the system is routing the sound to the proper device, and finally, if the speakers work okay on another system, you've updated the Bluetooth drivers, you've checked the routing of the sound, make sure your sound card is working by putting in a wired set of speakers or headphones and testing for sound. My guess is that it's either that you have the sound routed to the wrong device or that your Bluetooth needs updated.

Perihale blootooth driver

To resolve this issue, you will need to install the device driver for your Bluetooth device. If the device came with a CD or DVD containing device drivers compatible with your version of Windows, insert that disk into the disk drive and follow the instructions to install the driver.

If your Bluetooth device did not come with a driver installation disk, you will need to go to the device manufacturer's website and download and install the latest driver for your device. To do this, go to the hardware manufacturer and search on the latest version Bluetooth driver for your device. Follow the instructions.

Bluetooth won't work and even won't turn on with win7

- Download the 'Windows Mobile Device Center which you can download it from
this works for both Vista and Windows 7. I've tried it on both.

Install the downloaded software but it may not look like it worked on Windows 7 PCs. Vista automatically configures the settings on the bluetooth devices but for those who have Windows 7, here are the things you should do:

- Go to 'Device Manager' from 'Control Panel' -Or- just right-click on Computer Icon and choose 'Properties' and then click on 'Device Manager'.

- You'll see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'
- Right-Click it and click on "Update Driver Software" -Or- anyway you find it easy to bring up the Update driver window.

- Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.

- Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".

- Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the list if it asked you to select and then in the next window, it will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose 'Microsoft Corporation', not only Microsoft.

- From the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. Select one or the latest.
- Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is successfully installed.

Now, after manually updating the driver for your bluetooth device, in 'Device Manager' when you click on 'Bluetooth Radios', it should display one more item which will say 'Windows Mobile-based device support'.

There are few more things that you want to pay attention to. If you have already added the device in your 'bluetooth device list' that didn't work, then remove the device and add it again. After you add it, you might need to restart the computer if it gave you a connection problem error message.

I hope this will help you guys fix your bluetooth problem with Windows 7.Rate me if the message was helpfull.

Thanks
