How to clear Memory?

If the memory is filled up when a fax is received ... when there's no paper, or it is jammed (so that it can't print) ... you can print the fax (in Memory, after putting in new paper, or fixing the jam) by pressing the START/MEMORY button. After it prints, the memory is cleared.

If the memory is filled up when you're scanning and storing a document into memory (to be fax out), press the START/MEMORY key to transmit the pages that's already in memory. After transmitting the content in memory, the memory will be cleared/emptied. You'll need to scan the remaining pages to transmit (as a separate fax)

Hi & thanks. There is a small 'M' on the top center right of the 'number' screen. How do I get this to go away? Remove the battery? Thanks again & regards, -louis

This M does no harm. It merely reminds you that you stored something in memory. You can try pressing the AC (Clear All) button. Alternatively, store 0 in all the memories. If I am not mistaken you have 3 memories. Try
0 STO 1 to clear Memory 1
0 STO 2 to clear Memory 2
0 STO 3 to clear Memory 3.
