SOURCE: i have a xenyx 2442fx

You would need a 2 or 3 way crossover, depending on whether or not you biamp your tops. Simply go out of your main outs on the mixer into the input of the crossover. Go from the low output of your crossover to your low power amp input (subs), and the high output of the crossover to the high power amp input (tops). Then go from your outputs of your amps into the speakers themselves.

SOURCE: I have 2 SRM-450v2's. How do I hook it up to my

You should see a left and right main output on the 1604. Connect these to the line inputs on the SRM450s. Set the input volume control about mid way on the SRMs to start. Vary the volume control as needed to give you the most flexibility and control from the mixer.

Just bought the mackie 1604 vlz3 mixer and cant figure out how to get sound to the main speakers, the speakers and amps are connected correctly

Simplest is to use the LR button at the bottom of the channel strips you want to send to the main mix. Make sure you set the gain for each channel in use so that the clip light just occasionally blinked then back off a fraction.
If you want to use sub channels assign the strip to the appropriate one 1/2 or 3/4 and the assign the sub to the main mix and bring the subs up.

I use a Mackie 1604vlz board. I have Passive EV Speakers that I use a QSC power amp for. I want to add one Powered Subwoofer to this. How can I hook up without buying a crossover? Can I run out frome the...

You can, but I would not suggest it. Depending upon the input design of the powered sub, the highs might not get filtered out. Many subs assume that they are only receiving the lows. You are better off using a crossover between the mixer and the amp for highs and the powered sub for the lows. Please note that the crossover will give you much more control over the sound quality.

MAckie 1604 VLZ Pro Mixer, running QSC 1850 with jbl's from main outs. I would like to hook up powered subwoofers. What is the correct pathway? [email protected]

The best way is to use a two-way crossover between the mixer and the amplifiers. In your case, the low output from teh crossover would go to the powered subs, the highs to the QSC. Use the crossover adjustment to set the frequency crossover point to get the sound quality you require.

I want to hook up a an interface to a mackie mixer. What is the common denoinator to hook up, let's say a digi 002 and a mackie mixer so i can have a mac computer with pro tools operational with also the...

you can just piggyback the mixers - take the outputs from the mackie mixer (assuming it is NOT a powered mixer) ... those should be line level outputs - send them into a line level input on the digi 002 and then set that channel on the digi 002 and once set, just leave it, and control the mackie channels individually ... should work fine ...
