What are perfect settings for colour on my Toshiba 22KV500B?

It will depend upon individual viewing taste. Yet, contrast 65%; Brightness 50 to 60% and color 30 to 45% will give a satisfactory picture. https://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I find the colour contrast is very dark could you send me ideal colour settings for perfect clarity thanks

Hello
Adjust the contrast to 55 to 70%; brightness to 45 to 55% and colour to your viewing taste. Now the brightness will be very low I thinks. Advance the brightness and contrast after setiing the colour to Zero. Adjust for a well defined B/W picture first. The advance the coulour. Take reference of the face colour of a news reader at studio. The picture will be perfect. OK.

I need the picture settings for a trutech tv. For example : number for contrast .

Hello
The picture setting for any TV depends upon the taste of the viewer. Contrast is the deepness of details in black and grey level. In most TVs a 55 to 75% of contrast will give a good picture. you have to adjust the brightness level also according to contrast. It is best ot turn out colour to 0% first. Adjust contrast and brightness to get a well detailed B/W picture first. The apply enough colour to that B/W picture according to your taste. Face colour of a newsreader at studio will be the best reference to intensity of colour.OK.

Cannot navigate Picture Mode (Colour) menu.

After some digging, I may have found something.

With no menus onscreen, press the menu button. Then press it again. According to a post I saw on another forum, that allowed the user to enter the tuning menus.

First press gets you "Overview" and the second opens the tuning menus.

Good luck, and repost the results.

FOGGY-HAZY PICTURE

The contrast setting should always be more than the brightness setting, it's purely common sense to have the black levels dark and the white levels light. I advise your brightness to be 40, and your contrast to be set to 60.

You shouldn't alter the hue, as most manufacturers would have spent significant time balancing this anyway, so set this to 50 and leave it alone.

The saturation shouldn't be altered too much, the best bet is to set this to 55 and let it be. Also, the colour temperature shouldn't be changed atall, so set this to the default setting and leave it alone.

As for the sharpness setting, this should definitely be set quite low. I advise setting the sharpness to 40, and the reason for this is most people assume that the higher the sharpness the better quality and detail, and they're completely wrong.

If you do what I said, you should end up with a crisp, smooth and colourful picture.

it depends on what your using it for, adjust colour tones to what you think looks natural, contrast between 80-90, keep sharpness below 30. just have a play around till you find what best suits the source material.
