Sorry that did not help, 4 more things to try 1) remove and replace battery 20 times, to try and establish a good contact.
    2)hold on off button 15 seconds,try a few times
    3) repeatedly, press button quickly like your stabbing it.
    4) not to forcibly, but sharply knock the camera against something solid a few times like counter top.

I dropped my canon powershot SD 4500 IS and now it won't turn on! It's survived countless other falls just fine, and would turn on immediately then. All times, including this time, have been when...

Really!....you've dropped your camera "countless" other times and now you're concerned because this time, it won't turn on!!! You're not sure what else to do?!!! How about not dropping your camera. How about using the wrist strap. Your dropping luck has run out...your camera does not have nine lives.

My camera will not turn on even after charging it for a long time. The battery works in other cameras except mine so the battery is not the problem. Why will my camera not turn on?

My camera won't turn on and the lens won't close

Perhaps you have bad batteries? Connect it to another power source such as an AC wall outlet and use your power adapter and see if this helps. If it does not or you have already tried this then your camera may need to be serviced.
