GE GFWS3500LOWW not starting on any cycle

My GE GFWS3500LOWW front load washer is not coming on regardless of any cycle that it is put on. It just locks the door and after about 10-15 seconds it unlocks and the start button pauses and blinks. Also i am trying to put it in service mode by using the following steps: 1. Press the power button and ensure the display is off. 2. Disconnect the power button and wait 30 seconds and reconnect power cord. 3. Press Signal-Delay-Signal-Delay. After i followed these steps about 5 times nothing happens. I even tried Signal-Extra Rinse-Signal-Extra Rinse and still nothing. I checked the pump strainer below and also the intake strainers and all are clean.

    i opened the door and manually pressed the sensor and it locks the door..when i take my hand off the sensor it pauses

There is a musty oder coming from inside washing machine.
Dump in a gallon of white vinegar, fill with water, highest setting, after it goes through that setting, turn it off and let it set in the washer for about 30 minutes (use hot water).

Then put it on another wash cycle and then go to the rinse and spin. This should remove the order, and you should leave the door open when not in use.

Noise when ge washer put in spin mode
this could be one of two problems.

The first which is fairly cheap to repair would be to check the carbon brushes in the motor, they may need replacing, especially if your washing comes out wetter then it should.

The second is the bearings on the drum which is more expensive to replace and would need to be done by an engineer.

Remove the front lower panel (3 screws on lower lip - lay on floor to see). Panel come right off. there is a round "dial" to the front housing. Put down a bath towel on the floor and unscrew dial - then pull it out.

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.
