How do i rebuild my bostitch n80 frameing nailer

Bostitch nailers are simple to rebuild. Bostitch company was sold to Dewalt so parts are now easier to obtain from local Dewalt service center. Use Ork11 oring kit and tva6 trigger valve. These parts are also available on ebay. Good luck or your nailing projects.

I rebuilding a trigger system do to it leaks at trigger I replace it with a new rebuikd kit still leaking

Usually, rebuild kit has a replacement trigger valve. However if you are attempting to rebuild the valve, pay close attention to the fit of the orings where they make contact. The valve has four parts. End cap, lower body, inner spool and trigger pin. The critical orings are on the pin and spool. Replace all the orings, making sure that parts fit snuggly. The trigger pin orings should fit snug against end cap and inner spool. The inner spool should fit snuggly into end cap and lower half of the valve. Good luck with your repair.

My gun will not shoot nails and air is coming out where trigger is when you press triggerr

Dewalt uses vinyl orings in the trigger valve (clear to gold color oring on the firing pin) and are known to fail. You can pop out the valve and replace with new ( part # 603396.00) or try replacing the orings. It is hard to find small orings (i think it uses 2mm x 1.5mm). Also there are two to four orings made of vinyl within the gun. Two between the cylinder and cylinder retainer and two in the head. Rebuild kit may still be available. Good luck

My home has a steam boiler that supplies heat for the 1st and 2nd Floors. There is a hot water system from the boiler with an InLine Armstrong circulator pump that supplies heat to the basement. The pump...

Yes, the manufacturer should have a parts kit for replacing the orings and seals..it's probably leaking right where the motor meets the impeller...there should be a seal inside there...the rebuild kit should have a blow-up diagram to assist you in changing parts

Looking for rebuild kits (parts) for my N16 nail guns. I have 3 of these older guns and would like to rebuild them.

Stanley Bostitch doesn't make kits to rebuild their nail guns, you have to order each o-ring, seal, etc. seperately. The N16 was a good gun however there are very few parts available for them. You can go to www.bostitch.com to see what's available through them. You can also get part numbers for what you need for your guns and research any available parts on the web.

I have a Bostitch N64C Siding Nailer. I have put a new trigger kit and o ring rebuild kit in it and still can't get it to fire. The plunger seems to just be floating about in the cylinder

Assuming no air leaks when you connect air to gun. Remove nails and remove roll pin holding trigger allowing access to pin of trigger valve. With very quick motion depress trigger pin all the way in. If the gun fires then most likely problem with safety and trigger not being pushed all the way up against valve pin. If the gun does not fire, most likely problem with headvalve orings not seating due to scratches where orings contact metal. Remove head and examing metal parts and sand with fine paper to remove scratches (400 grit to finish). Install headvalve into head with plenty of silicone paste lube and push headvalve down into head with thumbs. Cover venthole on sealing surface of head with finger and release thumb pressure. The headvalve should stay down in head with vacuum and release when you release finger on vent hole. If no vacuum then orings are not sealing and gun will not work correctly. Good holidays

Hi, got a bostitch N80 that performs ok but leaks air around the 1/16" gasket at the end of gun, also some air out the barrel. would a rebuild kit be advised and where would you suggest? JIM

The rebuild kit # ( ork11) is available on ebay or here:
http://www.mendingshed.com/ork11.html

This kit may not have all the orings but does include other parts needed. There are other kits available on ebay that would include all the orings but missing other parts.
Sometimes all you need is to open gun and clean orings and contact surfaces and lube with silicone paste (sold at Lowes in the plumbing department used to lube faucet orings). The cylinder seal on top of the cylinder and orings at cylinder spacer is usually cause of leak at nose of gun. Good luck

I have a T31 pinner and the top valve is broke and an N60 15 gauge nailer that needs oring

I have been buying Bostitch t31 parts on ebay. Rebuild kit usually about $22 - 39 depending on how luckey you are at bidding. Keep searching on Ebay for other parts for this gun as parts are not available at Bostitch.com any longer. The oring kit for the N60 is available at amazon.com. the part number is ORK1, cost under $20. You can also find bargains on ebay. When installing orings us silicone grease. It is available at lowes in the plumbing department. It looks like vaseling. It is used for lubricating orings in faucets. Good luck on your repair project.
