Sounds like Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Power LED light indication flashes?Yes,u want to fix it,there are no one or any specific capacitors to be replaced.The power supply board is the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Must check the whole power supply board,looking for dying and about to be dead capacitors.These capacitors are alway bulges or puffing up on it tops are the problems and the causes.These capacitors are dying,a must to be replaced.But if u plan to be replacing dying capacitors?Tools,u must have.A soldering iron,a desoldering pump or a roll of a desoldering braids,a roll of solders also a basic understanding of electronic and soldering is a must.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

could be a dirty lens. otherwise it may need professional repair. i'm assuming you have tried other discs and they did not work also?

With the DVD tray open, press 9735 on remote. A menu will pop up, arrow down to Region, then arrow right to highlight the desired region (0 for all). Press Select, then arrow down to Exit Setup and Select again.

I just found this answer from another contributor.

Turn the power on
Close the drawer
Press 9735
Select Region 0
Exit Setup
You now have a multi zone DVD

try with the disc tray closed. and if that doesn't work turn player off by plug socket and turn back on and start from the setup menu part of the unlock code after turning player back on.

I got the same problem too.

Hi Rusty,
Open the cover , there must be a blown fuse, replace with another fuse of same value. If still not working take to service centre. This is a case of SMPS power supply failure.

2. Press PREV CHAPTER, NEXT CHAPTER, PREV CHAPTER, NEXT CHAPTER, PREV CHAPTER
3. "VerX" is displayed (X=RC)
4. Select the RC with RIGHT and LEFT (255=Codefree)
5. Press RETURN

Jwin JD-VD120

1. Press SETUP
2. Press 1, 3, 6, 9
3. Current RC should be displayed
4. Select RC with UP, "DOWN" (0=codefree)
5. Press ENTER

Jwin JD-VD130

1. Method 1:Press SETUP
