How can I reset the admin and mailbox passwords?

I have tried pressing F983. It asks for log and I have tried 1020000 since we have 3 digit ext as well as 120000 and 100200 but then it asks for password. Anything I enter says invalid password so I'm guessing the first thing I need to do is reset the admin password. Now I have tried doing this by going F985, 9, then reset pass as other posts suggest however, after pushing F985, I do not have an option to push 9. All it says after pushing F985 is VM334, pushing 9 does nothing. I have also tried getting into it by F**266344, password 23646 since I've seen this in other posts and all it says is Denied in Admin My main goal is to reset user VM passwords but I can't even get into the admin to do so. I do not know anything about this type of phone system as I'm accustomed to managing VoIP systems and these seem incredibly old. All I can see is that most of the phones are T7208's but we have 2 that are T7316e's which is where I tried to access admin from. If anyone can help me try anything else, I would greatly appreciate it!

Nortel 7208, locked out of mailbox. Forgot password. tried 120000; says "locked out" can't get in. It is work phone need to get messages. Please help.

To reset the password on the mail box you need to go to a M7310 phone on your system. It has 3 buttons under the display. You need to press the "Feature" button and 983, then enter the password 120000 (this one is used if you have 2 digit extensions 1020000 is used if you have 3 digit extensions) . Next in the display you will see mbox-AA-othr above the soft keys. Press the button below mbox. Next enter your extension number. After that you should see the screen to reset your password. This will reset the password to 0000. When you go back to your own extension and log in to your mailbox it will prompt you to change your password. If you password120000 or 1020000 doesn't work try 121111 or 1021111, the last 4 digits are the password for the admin mailbox.

Hello - we are trying to log into the admin mailbox but the password "102000" returns "Invalid". help!!

The best thing to do at this point is to reset the admin. password.

To reset your voice mail password, press feature 983 the screen should say log:
enter 120000 (default password)
the display should say mbox, AA, and othr above the three soft keys
press the mbox soft key
the screen should say add, del, and chng above the soft keys
press the chng soft key
enter in the mailbox number you wish to reset the password on
press ok
the screen should say reset and next above the soft keys
press the reset soft key
press the Rls key
your password should be reset to 0000

How do I unlock a mailbox?

Reseting the password will unlock the mailbox.To reset your voice mail password, press feature 983 the screen should say log:
enter 1020000 (default password) if you have a 3 digit intercom number, 120000 if you have a 2 digit intercom number

Extension of vociemail is displayed. Dial 9
PSWD: RESETSMPSWD (73738767793)
Reset PSWD? Press YES
Login will be changed to default (1020000 for 3 digit EXT's or 120000 for 2 digit)

Nortel T7316e need to change extention # on phone

You can go to any T7316e phone and do this , press feature 983 when you see log on the screen enter 102 0000 to log on with or 12 0000 this is the default admin password for the voice mail system . it depends if you have a 3digit extension of 2 digit . when you get in you will see three options on the screen above the three buttons , from left to right it will be mbox aa and other press the mbox button then it will give you three more options again from left to right they will be add delete and change press change , it will ask for the extension number , enter the number of your extension . the thing it will ask you is if you want to reset the password , press yes and the press the the red rels button your password is now reset to 0000 . good luck .

I am locked out of my mailbox

Here are a couple things to check...

Press Feature * 0 and then press you intercom button - This will identify the extension # of the phone you are using/ This will also identify any button on the phone

assumming your extension is 3 digits;
enter Feature 983 and at the log prompt enter 1020000 then press ok. This is 102 for the mb and 0000 for the password. If you get successfully logged in you can choose mbox then change and then enter your mb # . The first thing you will see is PASSWORD with RESET under password. Press the softkey under reset to rest the password to 0000. Now try to log back into your mb using 0000 as the password.

If you can't get into the admin mb with 1020000 then do this to reset the password for the admin mb..

Voicemail Lockout

Press the feature button then 983 enter 120000 as your password, if that doesn't work try a combination of 1020000, 10020000, etc... Enter the mailbox ext (The phone ext) hit reset and the password will be reset to 0000. You will be forced to change the password after you log into your mailbox again.

You need to build the mailbox in f983
Log 1020000
Mbox
Add or Change.
When you get to mailbox enter the extension # of the new telephone.
When you get to extension number-enter the same extension number.

Press Feature 985
Press 9
Enter 73738767793
Press OK

Now go back to Feature 983
Enter 120000 for 2-digit extensions, 1020000 for 3-digit or 10020000 for 4-digit
