Okay here's my question for over two months. I've been trying to find out what's wrong with my TV

When it's working it has a great Picture I mean great. Sometimes when I unplug it and hold the power button in for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in the amber light blinks. It blinks maybe 60 times before it would stay amber. I pressed the power button and the picture would emerge a beautiful picture at the beginning and after maybe an hour no picture at all, Just sound. Then I will go through the routine again. After the amber light stops blinking the white light will come on and stay on. Nothing else, black screen. I took the back off, and I noticed two little blue lights. One stayed on the other just blinked I tried unplugging and restarting many times nothing seems to work. I had it plugged in for maybe a week pressed the power button. The TV came on and only stayed on for maybe an hour and then went off. The sound stayed on and the two little blue lights in the back stayed on. I unplugged the TV. As of now. No picture, no sound. The two little blue lights in the back. One stays on the other blinks. Can you guys help me out?

Hi, Do you have a make and model number for this TV?

Testimonial: "Yes it just didn't come up with the question. My TV is an 3D Full Array LED LCD HDTV model number XVT3D554SV"

Ok, I would suggest it is a backlight issue! When the screen goes blank and only sound can be heard......if you shine a flashlight at the screen can you see a faint picture? If so then there are 2 possibilities, it is either the backlight LEDs or the screen inverter that is intergrated into one of the circuit boards that has failed. My guess would be the screen inverter as the LEDs don't usually fail.

My insignia lcd37 is hooking the comcast modem and works at times. Other times the sound is on, but the picture is blank. Is it worth fixing or just start over.

Okay you TV is hooked to a comcast modem? or do you mean My tv is hooked to the comcast converter box? A no picture but sound you want to first check you cables also try hooking up a dvd to the tv and see if that picture comes on if not and you got no pic and sound this would mean the backlight on this tv is dead or you got a bad inverter not converter, inverter inside the tv. Meaning it needs the repairshop but try and hook up a dvd to it and see if you got picture if so you cable box might be the issue call comcast!
