My scooter won't start the lights Horne etc are working

Hi u don't mention what make or model you're scooter is ..going on you're problem it sounds similar to a pride x IF U LEAVE THE KEY ON FOR APROX 20 MINUTES THE CIRCUIT WILL SHUT DOWN YOURE LIGHTS WILL STILL WORK. TRY THIS TAKE THE KEY OUT FOR A SHORT TIME THEN REPLACE IT & TURN ON KEY ...GOOD LUCK
