I installed a new water-saver toilet last year. It worked fine until a few months ago. Now the bowl level stays really low and is doesn't flush properly.

Water is not draining completely from the toilet line to the sewage tank. If there is a 'low/little slope' section anywhere in that drain line, solids WILL settle and collect there and cause water to back-up in the toilet drain line. Then the toilet will not flush completely or at all until the 'soft blockage' is cleared out and the drain line emptied. Al 'gravity drain' toilets require a free draining/empty drain line that allows flush water to drain unrestricted. A basement toilet has a pump that 'forces' flush water up and out with enough pressure to sometimes force out the 'soft clog.'

Have a Duo Flush System from FluidMaster. It continuest to ghost flush. Have adjusted the float valve several times but is still ghost flushes. How can I stop this?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

f the toilet bowl overflows, use a plunger or auger to eliminate clogs. If the toilet does not flush, tighten or replace the defective handle , adjust or replace the lift chain , or replace the flush mechanism. Jiggling the handle forces the lift chain or rod to re-seat the flush mechanism, telling you that something is awry.

If the bowl drains sluggishly, remove the clog with a plunger or auger, or raise the water level in the tank .

If water runs continuously through the toilet, lower the water level in the tank , adjust or replace a lift chain or wire , repair or replace a worn flush valve , clean or replace the valve seat assembly .

If water appears under the tank, tighten the tank hold-down bolts , lower the water level in the tank, replace the float valve , replace a malfunctioning ball , or tighten nuts on the water supply line, replace leaking supply line . As a last resort, re-seat the toilet .

If the seat is cracked or unsightly, replace it .

If the bowl or tank is cracked or otherwise unacceptable, replace the entire toilet .

Water level too high in Gruppo Italia in-wall cistern

check if mechanism that releases water when you flush is tight so no water escapes.
As for water level, you can adjust to less in the tank.

I have both a dual flush and a conventional high eff. toilet. the water level on both are set on maximum. but the dual flush won't flush toilet paper in a single fluh. can i change out the complet

Why do you want to change it out just because it doesn't take paper out ? The problem is in your trap. Don't change it unless you just want to. I don't think you can change it over anyway due to design differences.

Toilet does not flush all in one flush... suggestions

First make sure that tank is filling up to water line inside of tank. Depending on what type of flush valve and water level cotrol you have there are several ways to adjust water level. If you can adjust level to just below overflow tube.
On some of the older models that were just trying to comply with govt. water use standards they had problems getting them to flush completley on one flush. Depending on what method the manufacturer choose to use you can modifiy them to use more water on each flush and make them work better.
On the older toliets they used 3.5-4 gallons of water per flush and now they are not allowed to use more than 1.6 G.P.F. so they had to find various means to accomplish this. I am on my third toilet since this law came into effect and the one we have now uses a 3 inch diameter flush valve instead of the 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 of older models. It does work better but of course I had to buy and install new toilet. i'm sorry if this is not much help but a lot of the first generation 1.6 flush toilets just don't work very well. Thanks

My toilet in new apt. looks like this one, and it won't flush at all. Very weak water flow from tank... Need to plunge every time to make it flush!! Apt maint. man cannot seem to make a difference!! Can...

New WC's are only 6 Litre capacity. But is it? check water level to make sure its high enough! you should be able to adjust the water level from the water inlet valve.

When flushing the toilet, there is not a lot of "push" behind the flush. I'm having to flush two times, regardless of what is in the toilet.

It is normal for these useless new tanks to do that. Won't even flush a piece of paper. Pull off the lid and make sure the little hose is in the overflow pipe, and raise the water level as high as you can. take out all the bricks and water bottles, and bowl cleaners. Then give it a try. It might do a bit better. Hope this helps.

I've just fitted a Nabis breeze and am having flushing problems.

Well many toilets flush very high before flushing, they appear to almost overflow, but if that doesn't seem like your problem, I would recommend adjusting the float on the Fluid-master fill valve so that there is less water in the tank when it flushes.
