The tv keeps turning itself off. The red light is blinking after the tv turns off

I've tried unplugging the power source and plugging it back in. The tv will go on and after about 15 seconds turn off. I unplugged it from the power strip and plugged it directly into a socket. Still turns itself off.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

My flat screen tv wont turn on but the lite at the bottom just keeps blinking red what does that mean its a sony tv

Unplug the tv from all devices and unplug from the wall power source. After about 15 minutes, plug ONLY the power cord back in and see if it turns on. If not, than you will need to do a factory reset. With the tv pluged into ONLY the wall outlet ( no cable, DVD or internet connection) Hold the UP arrow on the remote than press and release the POWER button on the tv. This will reset everything and the blinking red light should stop. At this point you should be able to turn the TV on and off.

Turned itself off. I turned it back on and power button blinks green for a few seconds then blinks red continuously. red light by card reader blinks red about every five seconds. No picture, no sound.

unplug it from power source completely 15 minutes then plug back in with NOTHING plugged into any of the ports. If it boots back up then does it again later it make be something plugged into a port causing power to back feed into the boards. I had this same issue on my plasma last year ended up being the xbox360. After this if it still wont power then your power board maybe bad.

Tele turned itself off, red light blinks 4 times then pauses and blinks 4 times again.

You can try unplugging it for a while and then plugging it back in, but according to the manual, the standby LED:
Lights up red when your TV is in PC power saving mode. If the LED blinks in red continuously, this may indicate the TV needs servicing.

TV turns off and power light blinks unpluged andd still does it.

Likely to be the STK convergence chips causing a protection circuit to switch the TV off. Have you got any onscreen convergence problems (i.e, colour fringes)?

No video, shuts off then back on

I checked Toshiba's website and found the manual for the set. The self restarting was indicitive of a lamp failure. The red light was solid while the green light blinked. It would then restart 8 times before both lights would then begin blinking.
