That model does not use a bulb---it has 3 picture tubes that rarely fail.

My panasonic cinemavision TV no longer turns on. The red light indicating the power on/off blinks 3 times.
Thats the error code for failed convergence. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com which contains the parts and the CD with repair instructions.

Where can I find a remote for a 40" Cinemavision Television 1998 model
Instead of buying an original remote from the manufacturer (which is often expensive), I would just go to your local walmart, kmart, etc and pick up a universal remote. These usually cost only a few dollars and work with just about any tv set. Good luck!

Convergence ICs have failed. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com which contains the two ICs and the 6 resistors plus the CD with detailed instructions.

Bad color then no power on 51'' panasonic cinemavision
Check the power light for blink code--usually if this model shuts down the power light will blink in a sequence--3 blinks a pause and 3 blinks is short protection--usually means a convergence circuit problem.

3 blinks is the error code for the convergence ICs. You need to replace both STK392-110 convergence ICs. You can get replacement ICs at the following link and they provide installation instructions with pictures.

Unfortunately, most of these projection TV's require a remote. You CAN purchase an aftermarket remote. I would look for one that has all the features you need, PIP, screen format etc.... I have found that the Sony RM-VL600 works real well with my Mitsubishi TV... kids thrashed the remotes more than once...
This particular unit has system control PROGRAMABLE buttons on the bottom row. I've been able to program them for formatting the screen, setting audio and video... Solved my issue of needing a factory remote.

5 blinks is telling you that IC4511 on the DG board is faulty. This is not serviceable you will need a new DG board the part number of that board is TNP2AA126
