Tv problems lg and vizeo

Power Issues Troubleshooting
*NOTE* LG & Vizio TVs must be plugged in for 5 minutes before it will turn on*
1. Inspect ALL Ribbons and connectors. Any tears or bad connections between boards must be replaced FIRST
2. If you have any of these boards, it should be the first board to be replaced
A) T-Con Board - Video Problems (No Video with standby light on, audio but no video, grainy, distorted, or color problems in screen)
B) X or Y Buffer Board (Plasma TVs only) - Standby light is on but no power
C) Backlight Inverter / LED Driver - No Video with standby light on
3. Main Video Board
- Standby light is on but no power
- Either video or audio does not work (if no T-Con in TV. If audio but no video it is T-Con)
4. Power Board - No power AND standby light does NOT turn on. If standby light is on try other boards above
5. Panel - No power, distorted picture, lines, slow motion, half screen, faded in / out. Panel problems are usually not worth replacing the panel.

Samsung UN55D6000SFXZA. Upon powering on only flashing red stby light, no screen, back light or sound.

just cause your power supply is tested good doesnt make it good it could be a shorted panel or more likely the leds behind it unplug everything except the remote eye mainboard and buttons from the power supply and see if the light stays on if it does then i would look into the led strips also check the flash's i dont remember if samsung has a set amount of flashes = a code

My LG 50uh5500-ua tv does not turn on. No picture or sound. When power button is pushed red light blinks 3 times then goes off. Any suggestions or theories?

I had the same problem, changed the power board, main board and t con board. I purchased the led light tester, one string of lights was out. Replaced the lights, and 1/2 of the tv worked. I broke the black tab that connects the ribbon connector to the bottom panel. What a learning experience. Now I have to figure out how to change the ribbon connector.

Lg 42" tv not displaying screen image

The t-con board controls the picture. To test it shine a flash light on the screen abd see if you can see an image when the TV is on. If you do then the T-con board is OK. Look at the back light ballast board (sometimes is part of the power supply board) If you see no movement or a dim picture with the flash light, then the T-con board is gone. Sharp aquos tv, model no. lc-70c-6500u, no audio, visual at power up, standby/power light flashes 2 times long, 5 times short, nothing else happens, what is this mean?

Sounds like main board fault. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

its the t-con board if the backlight is coming on and there is sound then the t-con board is faulty. this is the board on the back of the screen has a cable going to it from the main av board. replace with same part number only. this has to match the screen.

I type slow, I have a Vizio M261VP LCD TV, I purchased it not working. I purchased a new power supply. A light comes on and flashes in lower right hand corner. I t does not flash on and off it flashes...

Good day sir chris!!!!

Welcome in fixya and I'm happy to work with you...

OK lets proceed to your TV problem..

The possible problem is not the power supply...There some shorted parts on inverter board,T-con board or main board so that the power will not initialize due to that shorted problem..

I teach you how to find which board is shorted or cause of that fault..

Just follow this procedure below.
  1. Open the back cover
  2. Look at the inverter board..it is slim board that have small transformer on it.
  3. unplug the inverter board first. Then try to power it on...
  4. If the LED on front of TV will not flashes from bright to dim it means you have shorted inverter board try to replace it..
  5. If the flashes remain..go to next step..Power off tv then reconnect inverter board, after that unplug T-con board..Then power on.
  6. If the LED on front of TV will not flashes from bright to dim it means you have shorted T-con board try to replace it..
  7. If all those procedure done but still problem persisted the only problem is main board..Replacing main board will fix the problem..
NOTE: When unplugging and replacing of all board make it sure to memorize all connection or its better if you take a picture on it for future reference..

Hope this solution will be helpful..Any rate will much appreciated..

Thanks for using fixya..have a nice day!!

81@hI have a LA32B550KIF LCD TV by Samsung. Just recently the picture has gone but we still have sound. Is there a step by step manual that I can follow online to reset the settings? I have currently...

Hello destinee81, let me help you.
I often see things like that, mostly occurs because the problem panel.
To ensure it, first turn tv on than wait a minute until you hear a sound from a channel tv.
After you hear a sound and still no pict, knock gently the panel with your hand ( not too hard but not too soft). If you see a flashing light (on area you knocked) , that mean back light panel is OK. Open rear cover , there are 2 boards (Power board and Main board) and 2 board attached on panel (inverter and T-con) , "beware with high voltage on power an inverter board". Check connection on t-con and main board, clean it with brush to remove dusts on it. if still make no changes , replace the t-con board.

Second, repeat first step above. If there are no flashing light on knocking area,. that problem from inverter board. Replace it. If any problem and questions, please let me know.
I hope that will help you. Thanks.

Samsung LN-T2632H won't turn on.

Follow these steps to figure out what problem is.
When you turn on TV, look at the back and see if the back light on. If it is on, the power supply and inverter work fine. The suspection now is main board and T-con board (the small board on the middle-top of the panel)
To find the problem from the main board or not. Look at the power supply and measure Vs on - turn on the TV, this approx 5 vlt DC needs constant once you turn on the TV. If it is drop or unstable - main board problem - replace it.
If Vs on is good - disconnect the T-con cable from the power sup. If power sup stop clicking - T-con need replacing. Hope it help.
