Rangemaster Ceramic 110 randomly trips the MCB.

Hi, I have a Rangemaster Kitchener 110 Ceramic, Serial 7886150103. Recently, 3 years after use it has started to trip the 40 Amp MCB, there is no RCD. Every time is trips the MCB it makes a pop noise and flashing light from just above the clock / control part which becomes visible through the top glass! Tried changing the Fan Oven Element and still the same. However when it trips the MCB during oven use it will not allow reseting of the MCB until oven has cooled down? Any Ideas?

Rangemaster Kitchener 90 Dual Fuel has tripped the RCD when using the main oven?

Question edited for clarity.

There are three reasons this can happen.

The electric element has blown a hole in itself and is grounding out.
The fan has failed and grounding.
A wire connector to either has come off and grounded, or worn through and grounded.

Hi, I have a Rangemaster 110 (electric double oven), which has a double grill. Unfortunately one half of the grill has blown - not working. Is it easy to repair? Thanks a lot - Krisztina

Usually fairly straight forward. Remove the blown element being careful not to loose the wires into the void behind the grill. Insert new element making sure the orientation and wires are conected as the original was.

I just need to know how to switch the oven on, i have turned oven hobs to 180 and nothing is happening...what else do i need to press????

The clock must be set to the time of day before the righthand
oven will work. The manual can be found here:  http://www.rangemaster.co.uk/index_Rangemaster_Manuals.htm

Problem solved, took the back off the inside of oven and the element had a huge burn hole in it. Brought a new element from the local spares shop £17+vat. Easy to fit and it works better than ever.
