I NEED KEYCODE TO ACTIVATE A UNIVERSAL REMOTE ORIGINAL IS BROKEN THE GUIDE DOESNT HAVE THIS BRAND OF TV

SOURCE: my remote control does not work

You could have a defective IR sensor in the tv set that sends the infared signal to the MIcroprocessor IC. These are something you cant just replace, as it needs to be trouble shot with a scope to see if theres a data signal comming out of the sensor and if there is it could be a bad solder connection somewhere between the sensor plug to the Main IC. Also could be the B+ that supplys voltage to the sensor. Unless you have had electronic repoair experience, You should have a pro assist you with this repair. Sorry I couldnt assist you more with this . Good Luck

Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Check these links. There is code list to many popular brand remote controls. Select one among them, which will give you maximum functionality to your TV. It is not predictable, which code will give you appreciable effect. Try one by one, and select one which you feels good. Never expect that all the functions will be correct in activating, as the buttons indicated in a universal remote control. [Original is Original, and Universal is universal] OK?

Your right that remote does not have the codes supporting that model but personally I would try the following codes of 055, 026, 012, 013, 003 (based on Samsung ) as originated may be the closest you will find to this. Other than that your all in 1 is no good unfortunately.

Ge universal remote code for mintek dvd players
You most likely will not be able to find a code for it because it is an off brand (not-so-well known brand) and most universals will not have codes for that brand. if your universal remote doesnt have codes for the Mintek brand or has them and they dont work then, sorry that remote will not work for you. you will need to try and get a different one. or try and get the original remote. you can try finding the original remote at ReplacementRemotes.com by typing in the model of the Mintek DVD player. or you can try Ebay.

If you're looking to make the universal work with the Insignia Tv you need to research the remote (model/brand) to the Tv. You can do this at: http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
It would be my strong suggestion however that you purchase the original because no universal remote will allow you access to the service menus and all the features..
