I bought a konica minolta magicolor 1690mf, printer. please can one help me on the step by step on what to do? and how to connet it to wireless or ethernet. please i need an answer please.

Since several computers or laptops will access the printer, it is recommended to connect the wireless printer to the main computer through the USB port.

To begin the installation process on Windows XP, access the network setting in the Control Panel, and activate the file and printer sharing option in the LAN setting.

This will allow the operating system to recognize the availability of a wireless printer.

Now, click the Start button, go to Devices and Printers, select Add a Printer option.

Click the second option- Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

The computer will search for available printer and reflect it on the screen.

Click Finish; and the printer is ready to begin the printing process.

Check the power; make sure that the printer's power is switched on, ensure that all the computer necessary computer components are also turned on.
Make sure that the hardware is properly plugged in, and also turned on. Apply troubleshooting.

Hp psc 1210 printer driver is not installed sucessfully in window 7 64 bit

When you connected the product to the computer with a USB cable, the Windows Update installation failed. Solution You can manually install the driver. Make sure you follow the steps in the order given to reset your printer, remove the product, restart your computer, and then manually install the driver. Step one: Turn the printer off and then on
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
  2. Turn the printer off and then back on. Clear any blinking lights or error messages.
Step two: Remove the product from Devices and Printers
  1. Click the Windows icon (c01319360.gif ), and then click Devices and Printers .
  2. Right-click the product icon (c01813941.gif ) representing your HP product, and then click Remove device . Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. (If the product is not listed, skip to Step three: Restart your computer.)

Step three: Restart your computer
  1. Restart your computer. You might want to bookmark this page so that you can quickly return to it.
  2. Make sure your computer has a valid Internet connection by opening a web browser and surfing to an Internet site.
Step four: Manually install the driver
  1. Make sure that the USB cable is not connected to the product. If the USB cable is connected to the product, disconnect it.
  2. From the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (c01319360.gif ), and then click Devices and Printers . The Devices and Printers window opens.

  4. Click Add a local printer .
  5. Click Use an existing port .
  6. Click the Use an existing port drop-down list, select LPT1: (Printer Port) , and then click Next .
  7. Click the Windows Update button and wait for the updates to complete.
  8. In the Install the printer driver window, under Manufacturer click HP , and then search for your driver under Printers . If the driver does not show up under HP, try looking under Hewlett Packard. NOTE: The print drivers are displayed by their series names, which means the last one or two numbers may show as zeroes. For instance, the HP Photosmart 8750 displays as HP Photosmart 8700, and the PSC 1210 displays as the PSC 1200 series.
  9. Once you find the appropriate driver, plug the USB cable back into the printer.
  10. The Installing Device Driver Software window should briefly display in the bottom right corner of the computer screen. Wait for it to disappear.
  11. Click the Cancel button on the Add Printer window.
  12. The newly installed printer now shows in the Devices and Printers window.

How do you connect printer to laptop with bluetooth

Hi friend,
follow the given below instructions-
1-Make sure your printer is Bluetooth enabled. Some printers come this way (read the manual to verify) but others require adapters. Shop online or visit an electronics store to find an inexpensive Bluetooth printer adapter.
2-Set up your adapter. All you need do is connect one end to your laptop and the other end to your printer and it will install itself.
3-Turn on the printer. Make sure it is connected to a working electrical outlet and the printer power is on correctly.
4-Open Bluetooth devices on your laptop. After installing your Bluetooth adapter, go to the control panel and open "Bluetooth Devices."
5-Add printer automatically. This is less secure, but easier. From the options tab, make sure the options "Turn discover on" and "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this laptop" are checked. Your printer and laptop should then find each other automatically and begin working. If you'd rather not let other devices discover your laptop, follow steps 6 and 7 instead.
6-Add device manually. From the devices tab, select "Add Device" and run the installation wizard to find your printe
7-Use the "Add Printers" wizard. You can also add the printer by clicking "Start" and "Printers and Faxes" and then "Add a Printer." When the wizard pops up, select "Bluetooth printer" and Windows will search for your printer automatically.

please rate me........
