Take it off the extension tub and there is (in mine anyway) a screen, clean that with a Q tip then put upside down in a saucer and put lime away in the incoming side. Not too much just enough to do the job. Next best way is to put the shower head in a bowl and fill the bowl with vinegar. Leave it to soak overnight.

Taking a shower could be hazardous to your health if you do not properly and regularly clean your shower head. According to a study at the University of Colorado at Bolder, your shower head may contain harmful bacteria. But not to worry, with some old-fashion vinegar, elbow grease and about 45 minutes, you can take a shower with peace of mind. Clean a Moen shower head while it is still attached, or remove it before cleaning.
  • Volume 0%Detached Shower Head
    Step 1
Remove the Moen shower head. This may require pliers or vice grips. If you use tools, place a towel or rag over the shower head to protect it from scratches and dents.
    Step 2
Remove the cover of the shower head, if there is one. The cover may twist or snap off. Do not force it if it seems stuck. This is not a requirement. You can clean the shower head with still attached.
    Step 3
Warm the white vinegar on your stove. Do not boil the vinegar. Gauge how much vinegar you will need by the size of your Moen shower head. You need to fully submerge the shower head in the vinegar.
    Step 4
Pour the warm white vinegar in a bowl or bucket. Place the shower head in the bowl and submerge it in the white vinegar. Let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Step 5
Clear the holes in the shower head with a paperclip or thin wire. Clear all of the debris from the holes. Dunk and rinse the shower head back in the vinegar.
    Step 6
Rinse the shower head and cover with hot water. Re-install the Moen shower head and cover. Test the shower to make sure you have re-installed it properly. Attached Shower Head
    Step 1
Fill a plastic bag with warm white vinegar.
    Step 2
Place the bag over the Moen shower head so it is complete submerged in the warm vinegar. Place a rubber band or piece of tape around the stem, securing the bag to the shower head.
    Step 3
Remove after 15 to 20 minutes. Take an old toothbrush and scrub off the mineral deposits and debris. Rinse off the shower head thoroughly with hot water and a wet cloth. Brendan O'Brien

Why water drizzle when showering?

There can be various reason of water drizzle, the main reasons are:

1. Low water pressure, it's the main reason for water drizzling. Check the water pressure of your house and if it's loo low then fix it.

2. Rust in your shower head, if your shower heads is full of rust it can be a reason for water drizzling. Clean your shower head nicely to remove those.

Thanks.

Shower head 112.18.1M flow is uneven. How do I disassemble it to clean obstructions.

Unscrew the base of the shower head where it meets the pipe. Lefty-loosy. You can dunk the head in a container of CLR to clean off the calcium. Also you can ***** them off using a small pin. If your head has rubber nozzles, you can just rub the head while the shower is on to clean them.

My mira sport shower is only 2 years old just over and is leaking from the shower head I have taken the head off, is it the washer or do I need a new shower head? Sorry I am unable to give you the brand....

firstly clean all the shower holes with a needle tip. you can also apply some descaler on the shower. Cut an old cycle tube piece round to the size of shower head. Make a hole in the centre of the cutted piece.Apply some grease on the patch & place it between the shower & head. Tight it up.If there is not enough space for rubber just apply grease on the head & tight it.

How to Remove Shower Head

Once you've purchased your new shower head the first step in replacing the head is to make sure your shower faucets are firmly turned off and then remove the old shower head. If you look at the existing shower head, you'll notice flat spots on what's called a pipe nipple at the base of the shower head where the head screws into the goose-neck pipe that sticks out of the wall. * Take an adjustable wrench and tighten the wrench onto the base of the shower head flat spots. * Turning counter-clockwise, loosen and remove the old shower head. * Clean the threads on the goose-neck of any debris such as old pipe compound or Teflon tape.
