I want to sell my Durabrand DVD Player, model 1002, but I noticed that there were major recalls years ago for this model. It was manufactured in 2007. If I can't sell it can I still get a refund?

place one end of the scartlead into av 1 or av 2  on back of  tv,
other end of scart to dvd player .
plug dvd player  in,and turn on dvd player it should detect the dvd and turn to dvd channel automatic .

Durabrand is Walmart's home brand another words they own a company that makes that brand of products so they can sell it all cheaper than any other brand and make more of a profit from it. I could not find the company website so there is no way to order or request a replacement remote. You may have to buy a used one of ebay or buy a new dvd player altogether. I doubt these will work with codes but here you go.

No way, all chinese DVD players has near the same remotes but with mixed buttons, finding a match or programming a universal remote is near impossible.

Durabrand is one of the few products that is not universally programmed. Generally, there are not many solutions for programming.
