Troubleshooting pioneer vsx-521 av receiver right channel problem crackles

Check to see that the A/C power cord is plugged into the electrical outlet and the power on the unit is turned "On" if the receiver will not power up. Test another appliance in the same outlet to check that it is "hot." Check the household fuse box for blown fuses and tripped breakers. Reset breakers and replace blown fuses with others of the exact same rating. If you are using the remote control, check the batteries and replace them, if necessary. As a last measure, remove the power cord from the electrical outlet and then reconnect it to try and reset the system.

Where is the blown fuse or circuit unite will not come on

Check the main electrical panel for blown fuse or circuit. If you plugged into a GFI outlet you can reset the outlet. Some A/C window units have a reset on the plug itself.

No power to microwave JVM1790SK ...checked outlet and it is live

HELLO.

Since the outlet is live, the power problem is from the microwave.

check on the back of the microvave to locate the fuse that control the supply of power to the microvave.

Change the fuse because it is unable to control power supply.

Then plug the microwave to the outlet.

Thanks .

While running in a screw to install a new electrical outlet cover, the outlet made a small pop and the lights flickered but immediately came back on. I plugged in the unit to see if it worked and nothing...

You say the unit is 220 volt, but the plug you installed has a white wire which is normally on a 120 volt outlet. A 220 volt outlet would have 2 black wires and ground. If you do have 220 there, and the reset does no good, I've seen those resets(they are basically built in GFI) blow out and had to bypass/put different chord on. there are fuses on the control board but I would check that last

No power. Will not turn on

Not intended to offend;
1. If using A/C (house electrical power), please check if electrical wall outlet is active. Attempt to plug-in another electrical device such as a lamp, clock, radio, etc.. If the electrical wall outlet has top and bottom plugs, try the top and then the bottom plug to see which one works. Sometimes, the top outlet will not work, yet the bottom outlet does work. The wall outlet should be replaced by qualified technician.
2. If both outlets do NOT work, and the outlet is GFCI breaker protected, maybe pressing the RESET switch on the outlet will power-up the outlet.
3. If the outlet is NOT GFCI breaker protected, check your electrical fuse box for a tripped fuse. Sometimes, a tripped fuse is NOT visible. May have to trip the specific fuse or all fuses to off, then back on. Recheck the wall outlet.
4. Once your know the outlet is live, check the power cord (a/c adapter for laptops) to make sure they are securely plugged-in to both the wall outlet AND the PC or Laptop.

Will need more information once the above steps are taken:

Is it a Desktop or Laptop?
Make and Model (if known)?
Any lights (glowing) on the desktop or laptop?
Any lights on the A/C adapter if its a laptop?

My kitchenaid microwave

Hi,

I have the same model in my home only mine is black rather than stainless. The problem you are encountering is most likely due to a fuse that has blown internally in the unit. Before having it looked at be sure you have power to the wall outlet that the microwave is plugged into. The outlet is usually in the cabinet above the microwave, simply unplug the microwave and plug a lamp or other appliance to verify it is 'live'. If the outlet is live the repair for the fuse may be a done from the front if you have a bit of patients and basic knowledge of electricity. I would recomment calling a service company to make all repairs on this paticular unit as it can be very tricky. Let me know I can help further.

No power

No power at all? ... gotta ask, assuming it is a counter top model...if you plug something else into the outlet does it work? That way 'we' know there is power getting to the unit. If something else works in the outlet, (assumng a 2 outlet receptical in the wall) plug the microwave into the same outlet as the other item that worked. If still no power, you probably blew the internal fuse in the microwave.

That said, they are there for a reason, chances are there is another problem in the unit that needs to be fixed. An appliance repair man reently told me they are only expected to live 5 or so years anymore... pitiful....

Peace,
