Why XA10 cannot power on by pressing power on button.

There could be several reasons why the Canon XA10 camera is not powering on when the power button is pressed. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is charged and properly inserted into the camera. If the battery is low or dead, the camera may not turn on.
  2. Check the power adapter: If you are using the AC adapter, make sure it is properly plugged into the camera and the power outlet.
  3. Try a different battery or power adapter: If you have another battery or power adapter, try using it to see if the camera powers on. If it does, the original battery or adapter may be faulty.
  4. Reset the camera: Remove the battery and memory card from the camera, then press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and memory card, then try turning on the camera again.
  5. Contact Canon customer support: If none of the above steps work, the issue may be with the camera's internal components. Contact Canon customer support for further assistance.

I have a new camera it has no manual. I do not know how to charge battery nor where to get a memory card.

The camera comes with an internal battery. Just plug it in with the included AC adapter. The camera needs an SD card. You can pick one up at your local electronics store and you can order one online on eBay/Amazon/etc.

I have a Panasonic SDR-H60P hard disk video camera and I have lost the second half of the ac adapter. Every time I try to retrieve the videos from my camera it asks me to connect to the ac adapter. I can't...

Unfortunately, the camera won't let you transfer anything if it's not on AC power. You'll have to buy a replacement cable in order to transfer the video, unless you saved it on the SD card and not the internal hard drive. If you saved your video to the SD card, you can just remove the card and copy it to any computer that has a card reader.

The on off button is stuck in. is there anything you can do or do i just buy a new one.

Reset the camera
  1. Turn off the camera, if possible.
  2. If an SD memory card is installed, remove the card.
  3. Remove power from the camera as described below:
    • If you are using only batteries for power, open the battery/memory card door and remove both batteries.
    • If you are using only the HP AC power adapter, disconnect it from the camera.
    • If you are using both batteries and the HP AC power adapter, remove both batteries and the power adapter.
  4. Wait for 15 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries and close the battery/memory card door or reconnect the HP AC power adapter to the camera. If you are using both batteries and AC power, try each method separately.
Turn the camera on and off. If the issues is not resolved do the following

Connect the camera to the optional AC power supply
  1. Connect the camera to the optional AC power supply. Ensure that the AC power supply is connected to a working power outlet.
  2. Try turning the camera on.
  • If the issue is resolved , you do not need to continue with the rest of the instructions in this document.
If the is not resolved ,then repeat setps 1 to 4 abiove but remove the batteries and keep the AC power adapter connected.

Sd card cannot be read & internal memory of camera cannot be read

Which Kodak camera model?
It may not support a large SD (SDHC) memory card.
Remove the card and remove the batteries.
Turn ON the camera (I know, no batteries) for one minute.
Turn OFF camera and install batteries.
Do not insert the memory card.
Does the internal memory work?
If so, insert memory card.

If it's ok to format the card, do so.
If not, then use a USB adapter and copy the memory card to your [My Pictures] folder.
Format memory card.

Samsung s1030 will not retract lense and bleeps 3 times then no response - batteries are fully charged

Try hard reset . Remove the batteries and insert new batteries . Sometimes this may work

Another chance is that lens is struck

* Carefully inspect around it for dirt or debris

* If you see any dirt or debris around the lens, use canned air to gently blow it away

* After removing dirt and debris, turn the camera on and off

This should work.

Try this alternate solution (got information from HP )

  • Turn off the camera, if possible.
  • If an SD memory card is installed, remove the card.
  • Remove power from the camera as described below:
  1. If you are using only batteries for power, open the battery/memory card door and remove both batteries.
  2. If you are using only the AC power adapter, disconnect it from the camera.
  3. If you are using both batteries and the AC power adapter, remove both batteries and the power adapter.
  • Wait for 15 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries and close the battery/memory card door or reconnect the AC power adapter to the camera. If you are using both batteries and AC power, try each method separately.

  • Turn the camera on and off. If the lens does not retract correctly or the camera does not turn on,

You need to take to service center .

Lose time and date stamp on power off

According to the manual, you need to power up your 710 with the AC adapter for 4 hours to recharge the internal battery. If this doesn't work, I suppose you need to replace the internal battery, and that's beyond my knowledge.

Can I move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card?

You sure can. Go to your shooting mode menu. Scroll down to BACKUP Click on OK Select YES Click on OK All image data stored in the internal memory is copied to the card. Press MENU to exit the menu. Make sure there is enough room on your card to hold all the pictures in memory. When you've copied to the card the original pictures are still held in the internal memory so you will have to clear it. When the card has insufficient memory, [CARD FULL] is displayed and copying is canceled. When the battery icon is blinking, pictures cannot be backed up because of insufficient battery power. If the battery power runs out during copying, the image data may be lost or damaged. I recommended you use the AC adapter if you have one. If not, make sure your batteries are charged. Never open the battery compartment/card cover, remove the batteries, or connect or disconnect the AC adapter during copying as this may cause malfunction to the internal memory or the card.
