press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). To access your messages remotely, after the greeting message starts enter in your remote code (default setting is "111").The unit will tell you the number of new messages then give you number commands to use additional features. When finished hang up.
