What caused it to stop working?

Halogen light doesn't come on but the fan works. I want to have it repaired and would like to know where I need to take it. Or, how can I fix it or get a replacement?

There could be other problems but check and see if your igniter is not burnt out. Ours did that and tried to ignite for two days and then I found I had to change the igniter.

Fan is not coming on

The motor spins on brass bushings. you can try oiling the brass bushing. take off the front grill then gently pull off the fan blades. you need to oil the motor center shaft lay it on its back so the oil will run down into the bushing(not to much and use a light oil). there is one on the back of the motor also, this one is a little harder to get too. if this dont work you need a new motor. you can get on off of ebay cheaper. the motor should be replaced by some kind of tech savey person, as the are delicate and a very specifice disassemble procedure.

Everything works but the fan will not turn. I recently performed a thorough cleaning and installed a new ozone filter, but the fan will not turn. I tried turning the fan manually and the unit would run...

The fan needs oiling (except for the Fresh Air, which has sealed bearings and no removable front grid). I need to know which model you have to help you reach the fan shaft. However, if you're handy, you can figure it out. Remove the front grid (if there is one on your model) and pull off the fan blades. Use a light household oil (sewing machine, hair clipper, 3-in-1) to drip down the shaft as you turn it manually. This should take care of the problem.
If not, and if you need more extensive repairs or rebuilding, call Vollara (new name for EcoQuest) customer service at 1-800-989-2299 and use 16618 as your dealer referral number.

Fan does not work..any suggestion how to fix this

after cleaning the filters or changing them it does take a minute for it kick on... Now if it hasn't kicked on yet, you might need to reset it. there should be a reset button on the top, if not what you need to do is shut it off and then unplug for about 5 minutes. somtimes the fan might be dirty or clogged so i would check that as well and make sure nothing is interferring with it moving. if that doesn't work, cause i have used this product before. what you need to do is call the manufacturer let them know your warranty. as long as your under the warranty they should be able to replace the unit for you. they will need the date code/ or the reciept to verify the warranty. If you have the reciept they will ask you to fax it in because it is quicker. once they have that, they will give you a call back to discuss other options if you are still under warranty.

Ecoquest Freshair unit; fan is intermittent.

Hi Susan,

I have not experienced it but I know that if you bought your FreshAir from a dealer with EcoQuest you are entitled to a 3 year warranty.
Contact the manufacturer EcoQuest at 1-800-989-2299 and choose technical assistance from the menu. You will be guided through some trouble shooting and if needed you will get an RMA number so you can send your unit in for repair.

If you are not in contact with your EcoQuest dealer anymore and the unit has never been registered with the company you need a purchase receipt with the date on it.

Hope this helps!
Eric

Whenever you clean or replace the plate, you must also clean the contacts that touch the plate, and all supports for the contacts. Clean them with 70% or higher isopropyl alcohol and Q tips. You should also clean the ionization point with a Q tip and alcohol, remove and clean the fan and oil the fan motor front and rear with a drop or two of sewing machine oil. Replace the fan so that it is flush with the end of the shaft. Make sure that the contacts are firmly against the ozone plate when you replace it. They sometimes barely make contact and then don't work well. You can bend them enough to make them fit firmly.
